The best book of its kind for the money.

This book breaks down, bit by bit, the basics of reading Hebrew. I was amazed at how well I could follow the prayer book in services after only a couple of weeks. Highly recommended for anyone who is learning to read Hebrew for the first time or who is brushing up rusty Hebrew skills from Bar Mitzvah days of long ago.

You Can Learn to Read Hebrew in a Week!

This book allowed me to do exactly what I wanted--I wanted to be able to read the liturgy at the synagogue. My 12-year-old daughter and I were able to sound out just about any word within a week--Hebrew is a very easy language to learn to read. Keep in mind--this book will teach you to read, but it does not teach you to understand the language. That's a little more challenging! Also keep in mind that it is geared toward Jewish prayers and blessings. If what you want to do is read the Kaddish without depending on the transliteration, this book will amaze you.
