Originally written as a series of articles in London's Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, the lessons were enormously and instantly popular, not only because they work, but because Peter Jones added lively features on Roman history and Roman personalities--allowing readers to get inside the heads that first formed the words. In addition to the exercises (and answers!), Learn Latin includes a grammatical summary, a vocabulary listing and eighteen--or rather xviii--charming illustrations.

This book is awesome. It really helps you to learn the latin language. It goes at a pace that is reasonable, and lets you teach yourself. (I used it last summer to teach myself the latin basics). Unlike some latin courses, you don't have to be a genius to understand it. It keeps your attention with humor. I really recommend this book if you just want to have fun with latin, or if you plan to take a latin course in the future. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
