Looks nice from the outside, functions Okay, but it's not well constructed and isn't pretty when you look on the inside The cover is sort of stiff but flexible, but if bent too much it won't bend back and look as nice as some leather covers. The stitching for the book mark is bad quality, threads come out at the bottom. The inside cover is downright ugly. This is badly done. The paper that is glued to the inside cover doesn't have equal margins with the leather edges, even crooked at some points, extending past the stitching. There is also about 1/2 inch of spacing on the edges of the paper on the inside cover that is not glued. it's a little wavy in some spots as well. The notebook came a bit wavy (hard to notice in a shrinkwrap package for me) maybe 2mm of wave, the paper not so much, mostly the cover The paper it self has an Ivory tone, which is nice. The paper also has no problem with bleed through even with several passes with a fountain pen. Very good for this. 100g/m paper according to the label. The paper is not smooth though, Staples Accel notebooks are better. Not good for smooth fountain pen writting, It might not be as important for others though, some might like it. College Ruling- Very nice, thin black lines for ruling. It leaves a full line at the top which some don't, but it's not bolded like a heading. Hey, it's a bargain book, you get what you pay for. I only had $12 cash on hand and I wanted a coffee as well. Should have gotten something better. ...
