More About This Book

Overview

Emotions: "An intense mental state that arises subjectively (influenced by our own experiences rather than through conscious effort), and often accompanied by physiological changes."

Emotions! We all have them. That's how God designed us. We have "feelings on the inside, turned on by pain or pleasure that are designed to move us in a direction".

Emotional abuse is a hard thing to recover from. Emotional abuse will alter your identity. If you have been rejected in any way, you have been "emotionally abused". God didn't design us to handle rejection. He made us to give and receive love.

If you break a bone it will heal given the proper care and attention. But only God can restore a broken heart.

Dan and Yolanda are on a life journey. They are both making emotional decisions. These decisions are causing them to inflict unintentional emotional abuse on each other. The result of these decisions will either lead them toward God or into darkness. Walking in darkness is walking under the influence of Satan. Jesus said, "But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

See the struggles they are having as husband and wife. Yolanda is trying to walk toward God but Dan seems to be trying to pull her away. "How can two walk together unless they are in agreement?" Can this marriage work? Can Yolanda pull Dan out of the darkness? Will their experience lead them to trust in God?
