Overview

One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high priced legal shenanigans.
Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.
Two weeks ago, I got drunk and joined a secret sex club.
Two days ago, I had a torrid one-night stand with a stranger.
Today? Well, today I’m contemplating having an affair with my boss.
Matt Connover is all kinds of forbidden temptation wrapped up in a deliciously wicked package, and he’s made it clear… he’s only interested in sex.
My name is McKayla Dawson but everyone calls me Mac. I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot.
But between you and me, I’m afraid my heart won’t survive these Legal Affairs.

Tried of short stories going on for months!!!!

Only 30 some pages why can't we have a complete book in one setting? I would gladly pay for it. Now I have to wait for months to get the complete story.

Legal Affairs Vol. 1 Marcy, McKayla, and  Matt (Number 134)

    Legal Affairs Vol. 1

Marcy, McKayla, and  Matt (Number 134)
The story is told from McKayla’s point of view. McKayla graduated from Columbia Law School, she is a lawyer who is working at a two person law firm that has just been acquired by a large firm.  The story is very steamy. It left you wanting more. The sex scenes are great and leave you wanting more! The story is short but it is very detailed. I cannot believe where it left off as it left me wanting more and not being able to wait till the next one is released.
This is an amazing story and it isn’t just about amazing sex scenes it also had a well-developed story.
I would recommend this story to anyone who wants a break but also enjoys a good story will well developed characters!

Enjoyed this short story but I have to admit I agree with the others who are tired of these types of stories where you read a few pages and you have to wait for another book to come out. I fell for that once with a story called The Arrangement, even though the story was entertaining I called it quits after #15. Pissed me off because it cost a small fortune & the story is still going on. So if you are a reader who does not mind this read on but be for warned No ending in sight except a lite wallet.

Objection please!!!  I have no idea why or how I continue to do

Objection please!!!  I have no idea why or how I continue to do this to myself. I keep finding myself indulging in a devour worthy serial series and just when things are getting more than good the story ends! To make all matters worse I don’t have the next to continue my indulgence. Agggggghhhh.

Legal Affairs is something new Ms. Bennett is doing. And I like it. Love it. Couldn't get enough of it. So really my only objection is the fact that I have to wait like 2 weeks in between each installment.

McKayla is going through a drought, recently she recently parted ways with her boyfriend of 3 yrs. While in a drunken stupor she allowed her roommate and friend to convince her to give this dating / escort service One Night Only a try. It only took one night (staying true to the name) for McKayla to reach full satisfaction with Mr. Number 134 / Mike.

It didn't take long for McKayla path to cross with Number 134 aka Mike aka Matt in real life and when it happens its both are a tad taken back on how they should proceed. Honestly I’m not sure how to explain this man how is oozing so much swag, but I will say that I can’t wait to get to know him better.

Volume 1 of Legal Affairs was a very short read, truly I think it took up a little over an hour of my time and the time flew by so quickly. Will I stay tune for the remaining….you know I will.

**Huge thanks to the author for providing me with an arc copy in exchange for my honest opinion**

Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors that I will read anything

Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors that I will read anything that she writes and love it. After seeing some teasers, I was ridiculously excited for her Legal Affairs series to get started. I did not like this. I loved it! Matthew Connover is hot and sexy and maybe even a little bit of a jerk in the way he addresses McKayla and "the issue". McKayla is a strong girl and she has no problem putting him in his place. Their sex is off the charts hot and I cannot wait to see what happens next. It will be interesting to see how these two lawyers can continue to work together without giving in to the need to devour one another.

This is a super short novella that will leave you hungry for the next installment.

First impression: Yes. Absolutely, yes! I'm a fan of Sawyer Benn

    First impression:
Yes. Absolutely, yes! I'm a fan of Sawyer Bennett's Off Series and I saw some of the teasers for this new serial, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!

    The story:
After a drunken night with her friend, McKayla agrees to become a client of a super secret sex club. On the night of her "meeting" with her selected fellow, McKayla is all kinds of nervous. However, she's not about to back out. Especially after she meets sexy #134, Mike. Her night of no-strings attached sex is everything she had hoped it would be and more.

So...a few days later, McKayla is off to a new job. She walks into a meeting with her new boss and nearly falls over. Can you take a guess as to why she would be stunned? If you guessed that her new boss is sexy #134, you would be correct. Except his name isn't Mike, it's Matt.

Awkward and uncomfortable doesn't even begin to describe how these two feel about their new situation. On thing is certain though, they still can't fight their attraction. Will these two be able to keep their attraction at bay or will they give in to what they really want...more?

    The characters:
I adore McKayla! The story is told from her POV, so I got a true sense of what she was thinking, what her personality was like, and more importantly what she thought of Matt. And McKayla is hysterical! I love her inner dialogue and she has a great sense of humor about their situation.

I loved Matt too. He can definitely be a bit gruff and I'm curious to know why he can't get into a relationship, but I really liked him.

Their sexy scenes were off the chart hot and their banter was fantastic! I found myself craving more of their scenes together. And I have to point out that it wasn't just a quick roll in the bed. It's clear that something more is brewing here and I can't wait to see how their relationship develops.

    Overall:
I loved this! My BFF and I were talking about it after I read it and we were saying that there was an ease to this story that made it that much more enjoyable. I've established that I'm a fan of Bennett's, but this serial...it's truly fantastic! I was so glad I had the next one on hand.

    Favorite Quotes:
~"Standing up or lying down? Bed or balcony? Missionary or doggie style? Any preference?"

His voice is low, gravely, filled with sex and lust, and my mind swims with the possibilities. Swallowing hard, I say, "I don't care...as long as there's an orgasm involved."

Chuckling, Mike sweeps me up in his arms and starts carrying me to the bed. "I guarantee you two...to start out with."-Loc 130

~"Well, I have to say your dick is the most pleasant thing about you," I say sweetly, but with a touch of sarcasm.-Loc 552

I love the main characters in the story. McKayla Dawson and Mat

I love the main characters in the story. McKayla Dawson and Matt Connover are perfect. McKayla is a laywer who is sick and tired of idiot guys especially after just losing her boyfriend of the past three years. Her best friend, Macy, talks her into using an exclusive and discreet service called One Night Only where you are hooked up with someone compatible for just one one. McKayla goes on her date with Number 134, who says his name is Mike. He is tall, dark and handsome and they end up having the best sex of her life. The next day McKayla's boss Lorraine informs her that her law practice has been acquired by the firm Connover and Crown, LLP. McKayla shows up for work on Monday at the new law office. She walks into the conference room and is greeted by the owners, Bill Crown and Matthew Connover, who just happens to be her best sex ever, Number 134! Matt is just as shocked to see her and later explains to her that what they had was a one time thing and they cannot ever get together again. Famous last words. By the end of the day Matt cannot help himself and he needs to have Mac again and thus begins the battle of should I, or shouldn't I.

McKayla "Mac" Dawson thought the world was her oyster.

McKayla "Mac" Dawson thought the world was her oyster. She had recently graduated from Columbia Law School, she thought her boyfriend was going to propose, and she just enjoyed what she was doing. Then everything came crashing down around her, her boyfriend left and her bossed worked her to the bone. In a moment of drunken weakness she agreed to her best friend to join an exclusive sex club, One Night Only.

On her first "date" Mac, going by the name Stella, met Mike. Obvious to the both of them they were using fake names. Meeting at a local bar, the two spent the whole night, into morning, together. When she finally got home she wasn't able to get much sleep until her bossed called to tell her that the firm she was working for was acquired by a much larger firm.

On the first day at her "new job", the last person Mac thought she would see was Mike, but he was there in the meeting room, and apparently her new boss, the owner of the larger firm and named Matt Connover.

Objection is a hot little thing. Seriously. From Mac's remembering her night with Matt to how she and Matt interacted at work, everything was just hot. There was a bit of humor thrown in as well which worked for me. There's just enough tension and drama to leave you wanting more.

    A short sexy fun read…

McKayla Dawson, a young lawyer, at the insistence of a friend joins a very special club where one obtains one night stands. This is something which is normally out of her comfort zone. She has a wild night with an amazingly gorgeous man and has the best sex ever. The next week she goes to work at a new company since hers was acquired and finds that her new boss is her one night stand. Now how does one deal with that issue?

Matt Connover, a lawyer who heads his own firm, is just out for sex with no attachments and happened to select McKayla from her profile at the club for a one night stand. He is blindsided when he finds out she now works for him, talk about a surprise. But business is business and there is no room for the personal to cross over no matter how strong the attraction is or so he says.

This is the first episode in a serial and to whet our appetite for the serial it’s free. This is a short, sexy, fun read and not the first time this reader has run across this theme. The hero and heroine both have strong personalities, they are interesting and likable. You can feel the chemistry between them and the dialogue is amusing. This reader though is quite tired of serialization and will wait until the book is released in its entirety to finish the story.

Legal Affairs is a new venture for Sawyer Bennett. Legal Affairs

Legal Affairs is a new venture for Sawyer Bennett. Legal Affairs is a bi-weekly serial that will feature six installments. Once the sixth, and final, bi-weekly installment releases, the full novel will become available.
This review is for the first installment, Legal Affairs: Objection. Not only has Sawyer Bennett ventured into a new concept of publishing but she has also ventured into a new style of writing. Legal Affairs is a contemporary romance but is much more erotic than her previous novels. Many readers fear when an author ventures into writing erotica or an erotic romance that the characters are going to get lost in the steam. This is not the case with Legal Affairs. Sawyer Bennett’s writing talent shines and she delivers one of the sexiest reads that focuses on building the characters, as well as their relationship.
In Legal Affairs: Objection we meet McKayla Dawson. McKayla is a young attorney working for a struggling law firm to get enough experience in the field to move on to a bigger firm. Her boss is a tyrant and makes her job miserable. She struggles with her finances, school loans, and trying to build a career that will pay for those loans. To top it off, six months earlier, her long term boyfriend dumped her. She has thrown herself into her work for the last six months. Her socialite roommate talks her into using an exclusive, secretive, dating service called One Night Only. It is just as the name implies – one night only. It is completely anonymous and perfect for McKayla.
She is going out on a date with #134, aka Mike.
Her date with Mr. #134 turns out to be the hottest sex she has ever experienced. She is very satisfied with the outcome. Her one night only was perfect.
One night only turns out not to be so perfect. In fact it turns into a disaster on Monday morning when McKayla meets her new boss, Mr. 134 Matt Connover, high powered attorney and owner of the law firm that acquired the firm she worked for. Talk about awkward, embarrassing, job threatening and professional suicide. Add a difficult case that has no hope and McKayla is screwed.
On that note I am not going to say more, too many spoilers. I can say this, I am hooked.
Sawyer Bennett drew the readers in with the mystery one night stand dating service. She added conflict when she threw these two one nighters together in a work situation, where they will have to see each other day in and day out. She had the most erotic scenes throughout this first installment and continued to build the sexual chemistry to a high temperature blaze. She gave us enough insight into the characters without giving their complete personalities, flaws, and strengths away. This will keep the readers curious as to who Matt Connover and McKayla Dawson really are and what makes them tick. Add the difficult law case and the inner workings of a high powered law firm and it adds another plot to the story.
It is no wonder that Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite writers. What was delivered in these first twelve chapters of Legal Affairs was addicting. In this short installment the reader got more of bang than what most erotic romance novels deliver in 300 pages. This serial will not disappoint.
Well done Sawyer! I am hooked and dying for the next installment in the Legal Affairs Serial.
Look for the review on the second installment, Legal Affairs: Stipulation releasing on January 24, 2014.

Who knew the law could be so sinfully sexy and lustfully delicio

Who knew the law could be so sinfully sexy and lustfully delicious..

What would you do if your new boss was your most recent one night stand? Speak of the devil when McKayla Dawson walks into a board meeting to find out that her new boss is none other than her most recent one night stand. Matthew Connover aka Mr. 134 is not happy to see her walk through that door. Well that is just too damn bad. McKayla is a smart and strong woman and she is not about to let Mr. Connover terminate her employment because he happens to be her new boss. Just because the man gave her several amazing orgasms the night before did not mean that she could not behave professionally. He would just have to get over himself because McKayla would not be going anywhere without a fight. Will lust win in the end or can these two behave themselves?

Objection is going to leave you so hot and bothered you will be counting down the days until Stipulation comes out.
