Elle Woods, California University senior, seems to have it all. President of Delta Gamma sorority, she's aced her major--sociopolitical jewelry design-and is on the verge of becoming Mrs. Warner Huntington III. Too bad Warner, bound for Stanford Law, dumps her with the explanation that he now needs a more "serious" woman at his side. Faced with this unexpected reversal of fortune, Woods doesn't get depressed, she gets busy.

Thanks to a creative application video and a demand for "diversity" at Stanford Law, Elle is admitted. Soon she's packing up her convertible-as well as her miniature Chihuahua "Bruiser"-and heading north, determined to win back her man. Smart, fast and funny, Legally Blonde proves just how much fun blondes really can have

Not even close to the movie

I tried to be objective and read the book and not compare it to the movie but it was really hard.. the book is NOTHING like the movie.. the characters aren't fully developed I didn't think.. Elle wasn't close to being as happy and popular in the book, oh and come on! Her dog's name was underdog?! What's up with that?! Don't waste your time on this book.. just watch the movie

This is now my favorite book ever!

If you liked the movie, then I'm pretty sure you'll like the book. I LOVED it! It was everything I could want in a book. It was boring at parts but Amanda Brown definitely made up for it! Elle's Chihuahua's name is Underdog though. :( I highly reccomend this book.

    Yuck!

What a colassal waste of time!! The book was boring, dull, and it lacked anything decent in the plot. The characters, including Elle, were completely static and the dialogue could have been written by a high schooler. I was expecting greatness because of the movie, but was sorely disappointed. I would recommend that unless you enjoy pain and torture, stay away from this book!!!

    boring, boring, boring

this book was so boring. the movie was so much better and i was expecting the book to be so much better, since they usually are. the book was very confusing, and nothin was very 'blonde' about it. it could just relate to any type of girl, not just a blonde. i suggest reading another book dont waste money on this book-i was very disappointed with this book.

    Legally Good

Elle is the best! She shows the world that she can shine! The only main differences from the movie are: Bruiser isn't called Bruiser, she goes to Stanford Law, and she is a bit less happy-go-lucky. She is still blonde and better than ever!

    Snaps for Elle!

This book was awesome! For all of you out there who thought this book was written after the movie, you are so wrong. The movie was made of this book. Anyways, I totally loved this book because Elle Woods (main character) has really good ethics and morals. Elle knows what she wants and she knows how to get it! Every time I read this book it totally gave me this feeling like I could do anything. This book motivated me to be a better person and to be kind to everyone.

    boring book!

this is a really boring book. i mean it's like not that interesting because the author doesn't really include enough description and it seems like this is her first book because the plot seems interesting enough but the way amanda brown writes it seems boring. it seems like she wrote in the way of a 12 year old. she also includes non necessary things like wat kind of mascara, or lipgloss people in the book are wearing!although i did not enjoy the book, the movie is one of my favorites!
