Lisa introduces a new conspiracy romance series that will keep readers flipping through their Kindle or paperback. She keeps the suspense flowing through the book by tossing in twists and turns that you don't see coming. She creates a world that you truly come to believe and wonder if it actually could be possible. The romance is just enough in my opinion (read another review that claims wasn't enough, obviously they missed the bigger picture, no offense). She allows the story to develop on it's turn and upon finishing the story I was impatiently waiting for the rest of the series. If you decide to only read one book by Lisa Renee Jones then I highly recommend this one because then you'll want to read the rest of her works!

Wow! This book is amazing. It comes in two parts. Part one is like a extended prologue where you learn some back story about the world Ms Jones takes you into. You also learn about Cassandra and Michael and the other characters. Part two is where things get really interesting. Michael is a soldier that was injected with alien DNA and is now part of a group of soldiers called GTECHs. Cassandra is the daughter of the man who changed these men. When they first meet the chemistry burns up the pages. They quickly become an item and things are going well until one day all hell breaks loose and they are both forced to make decisions that may change their lives forever. I loved this story. It was well written and the plot made sense. There were a lot of complicated scenes and everything still seemed to flow. There are actually three groups of people that you are reading about and I loved the fact that you get an insight into all of them. You don't just get to hear from Cassandra and Michael, you get to hear from a lot of different characters good and bad. It really helps you understand what is going on throughout the whole story. All the characters are strong and interesting. The chemistry is explosive, the action keeps you interested, and the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book left me wanting more! A must read!!!

The GTECH soldiers are definitely a whole new breed of fighters. They had alien DNA added to their systems and their progress has to be closely monitored. Cassandra is intrigued by these soldiers extra abilities and their connections to their mates. She didn't think that the one they call The Dark One would be the one that captures her imagination.
Michael Taylor exudes power. He carries himself like no other soldier on base. He has always walked the fine line between good and evil. Michael has to work both sides in order for good to triumph. Michael is entranced by the lovely Cassandra Powell. She is his number one enemies daughter, the man who transformed him and this causes him to be conflicted.
Though Michael and Cassandra give into their passion there are forces pushing them apart. It will take both of there will power to fight to stay together as they fight their enemies. They will have to go to extra ordinary lengths to safe their love and their country.
The Legend Of Michael is captivating. You are drawn into a new life style that is fascinating and compelling. It's a multi layered world of good and evil. Sometimes you aren't sure which side some characters fall on but it draws you in and entertains. Michael and Cassandra are sizzling in and out of the bedroom. Their chemistry is scorching and their connection is deep and emotional. Looking forward to the next story in this series.
Knights of the spirit; warriors in the cause Of justice absolute 'twixt man and man. - Richard Watson Gilder somewhere in Nevada, a top secret military operation called Project Zodius exists. ordinary human soldiers are converted into efficient killing machines after being injected with alien DNA. Cassandra Powell, daughter of General Powell, takes over the job for the former head of Clinical Psychology. she meets and pairs up with Michael Taylor. he is one of the GTECHs or Super Soldiers with skills and abilities that set him apart from the rest. his fellow GTECH Adam Rain stages a mutiny that splits the soldiers into two groups - Zodius and Renegades. Cassandra is devastated when Michael joins Adam. two years later, Cassandra finds herself working in a German military hospital. she is off to a new start with her life when her father suddenly shows up asking for help. dutiful as ever, she flies back to the United States without realizing that her nightmare is about to begin. the book is divided into two parts. the first section provides a detailed background of Project Zodius and the people involved. the second part is where things get really interesting. there is also a very useful glossary that helped a lot with the terms used throughout the novel. i had to think of the Renegades though as "Renegoods" just so i would not confuse them with Zodius - the bad guys. notwithstanding some of the soldiers' supernatural abilities as a result of something alien infused into their systems, i found the characterization quite realistic. it seems that good and evil are part and parcel of everyone's genetic makeup and choices play heavily in every action that we do: - Michael's emotional struggles contrast with his physical strength and test his loyalty. - Cassandra's sense of familial duty makes her naive and blind to the truth. - General Powell's greed compels him to be self-righteous. - Adam's power trip leads him to degenerate further. overall, i had fun reading The Legend of Michael. "wind-walking" - what it is and how it is done - is one of the most brilliant concepts i have ever encountered. i have to give credit to author Lisa Renee Jones' imagination in building a world where conspiracy, secrets, betrayal, passion and ambition are fused together in this part sci-fi, romance, suspense thriller.

I am not a professional reviewer or anything, just a reader that is always looking for another great find. I have found this in Ms. Jones's "Legend of Michael". It was suspenseful, hot & sexy, funny at times and heart-pounding. I had a hard time putting it down - I loved the world building, the hot characters and well just everything. I am so happy that this is a series and that we do not have to wait too long for book 2.
Do not wait, BUY THIS NOW!!!
At Area 51, deploying the mission of top secret Project Zodius, the military inject alien DNA into two hundred specially selected special ops soldiers in order to turn them into super soldiers. They become a super race superior in every sense than the humans they were once a part of.
General Powell sends his daughter psychiatrist Cassandra to evaluate the GTECH for mental stability. She and Michael Taylor meet and instantly lifebond. However, Michael fears what their mating would do to his lifebond so he tries to keep her from joining him. Soon the GTECHS divide into two distinct enemy groups; the Zodius and the Renegades. Now Michael must keep his beloved safe from the nasty Zodius.
With a nod to Captain America, Lisa Renee Jones provides a great Area 51 romantic military fantasy. The action-packed story line grips the reader from the moment the lead couple meet in "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" (by Ewan MacColl) moment and never slows down. Fans will enjoy the opening act of Project Zodius as the Super Soldiers split into two adversarial groups with one wanting to dominate the inferior humans and the other protect the inferior humans.

THE LEGEND OF MICHAEL is book 1 in Lisa Renee Jones' ZODIUS Series. This plays a part in how THE LEGEND OF MICHAEL is played out. I will give warning that there is a lot of world building within this novel however that does not take away from the great love being created by Michael and Cassandra. There are moments that move a bit slower only because you want to get back to the heat Cassandra and Michael create. Ms. Jones has written characters you love, hate and love to hate. Fans of series will adore this one. Fans of great strong heros with heroines who can hold their will find within THE LEGEND OF MICHAEL a perfect fit. There are paranormal elements that add to the charm and appeal of this novel. This is an ongoing storyline series, meaning that the story begins with THE LEGEND OF MICHAEL and will end at some later book, however Michael and Cassandra's story finds it's conclusion. The next story, coming in November is sure to be another great find. I highly recommend THE LEGEND OF MICHAEL to all fans of strong sexy men, strong women, a great plot and a fascinating new world with just the right amount of suspense and doubt as to who is really good and who isn't to keep you guessing.

book was recieved for the purpose of a review from the publisher.
Lisa has created a wonderful world of drama, suspense and romance starting with the first book of the Zodius series, The Legend of Michael: Sin and Satisfaction.
It took me a few days to read this book because of life's everyday happenings making me stop. Otherwise I would have finished it in one sitting.
I love the way this book made me feel. My emotions ranged from feeling Cassandra's trepidation, happiness, wonder and love, to her feelings of being deceived, abandoned, of sadness and heartbreak. Then, there were Michaels feelings of hope, injustice, worry, possessiveness, and love. His need to do the right thing, no matter what it takes, except, any harm coming to Cassandra.
There are so many great characters in this book, Cassandra, Michael, Caleb, Sterling, Kelly, all good guys. Even the bad guys, Adam, Lucian, Tad, Powell, Ava and others had me in a hold.
This is a must keep read for me and I can hardly wait for the next book to come out.

Lisa Renee Jones has created a new world ~ a world where Super Soldiers, or GTECHs, are being created by the US Gov't, and General Powell ~ these soldiers were tricked into being, and are being tested, and experimented on by Gen. Powell, to the degree that they've begun to rebel.
Psychologist Cassandra Powell has agree to come work for her father on Project Zodius, evaluating the soldiers ~ on her 3rd day on the job, she meets Michael Taylor, GTECH, and MORE. Against all her instincts, Cassandra is drawn to Michael in a way she can't control, and he's more than returning her interest...they've only begun to build a relationship when the unrest between the GTECHs, and General Powell, her father, hits an explosive point. The GTECHs have split into two groups, led by twin brothers, Caleb and Adam Rain, Good and Evil ~ and it appears to Cassandra the Michael has sided with the Adam, the Evil GTECHs, or the Zodius.
Two years pass, and the Gov't and Gen. Powell are ready to take on the Zodius, led by Adam Rain ~ and his second, Michael Taylor. He's convinced Cassandra to come back to the states and help him subdue this evil ~ but when Cassandra runs into Michael again, she can't control her feelings, or the Lifebond they had only begun to form when he'd left her two years before. She's quickly thrust into the war between the 3 factors, and realizing that Michael is not the bad guy she thought he was, but someone she wants to love...
I could SO go on about this amazing and wonderful story that is so full of secrets, lies and loyalties torn ~ but I don't want to give anything away! Ms. Jones did an amazing job of introducing us into the world of GTECHs without an information overload ~ when I read the glossary, I thought I'd be overwhelmed, but she seamlessly weaves details into the story where we pick them up naturally, withought having to think about it.
She totally drew me in, and the relationship we see build between Cassandra and Michael is at times wonderful, at times painful and frustrating, but 100% believable. I zoomed through this book ~ and already can't wait wait for the next! I'm totally imersed in the war that is quickly escalating between the two fraction of the GTECHs, and with General Powell...........
