Overview

About the Author

Sheri L. Swift loves to create in the Fantasy realm. She likes to write contemporary as in the case of the Legend of the Mer series, but also likes to write literary fiction as with The Hart of Telendaria. She mostly writes Young Adult, but her stories would be enjoyed by anyone looking for the unusual, adventure, love, encouragement and hope through even the darkest storms.

LEGEND OF THE MER SERIES:
She originally wrote the first story when seventeen in her junior year of high school; in her creative writing class.

When her baby finally entered College, she began to rewrite her story.
Although raised a West Coast girl, her family moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia in 1995.

She quickly fell in love with the East Coast and began vacationing there. After her daughters went on a Mission trip which included time on Ocracoke Island along the Outer Banks of North Carolina, she began to draw inspiration for her Safe Harbor Island; which was first written as a West Coast island. She believes Ocracoke's rich history inspired her to write a better story.

Continue the journey with the series: LEGEND OF THE MER and LEGEND OF THE MER III The New Guardian. The Legend of the Mer Series is the story of each sibling: Lana, Jedediah and Lizzy. She's currently writing the 4th in the series which will tell Will's story.

THE HART OF TELENDARIA AN ELVEN LOVE STORY:
This story was partly created in her mind as a child and then combined with a Pixie story she wrote between having babies at the age of 22.
It was the first large manuscript she'd ever written, but knew it would take a lot of effort to do it justice and didn't have the strength earlier to write it. She especially wanted to publish this one for her grandchildren to read one day and to also share it with anyone needing a little adventure with love, perseverance, joy and hope. ;)

Sheri L. Swift lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with her husband John and her beagle (Talei). She's a grandmother of eleven; they are the joy in her life. She is a cancer survivor and believes in the power of prayer. She considers herself to be an Inspirational writer and enjoys writing poetry. She generally writes Young Adult, but all her books cross over for those who enjoy an uplifting story.
