I love this book so much I want to know more about Lana's mermaid world. Or maybe even a prequel explaining more about the merwalkers etc. I absolutely could not put it down. I would love to have it in print.

Wow, I got this book for my daughter and ended up reading it too. I loved how it incorporated some history within its fantasy. This was such an easy read it only took me two days to read. I couldn't put it down.

Legend of the Mer I recently read the book titled "Legend of the Mer". I have to admit I was a bit hesitant because I have never really been "into" mermaids. I was afraid I would become bored. But i bit the bullet and downloaded the book and read it. Boy was I wrong. The book is about a girl named Lana. Lana was born with some physical deformities and she never quite "fit in". She was raised by her father who tried to shelter her, maybe a little to much. Her mother drowned when Lana was very young, and her father was very secretive about her death. He would never let her in the water. She secretly started taking swimming lessons and found another world she never knew existed. This lead Lana on an exciting journey under the sea. I'll stop here because I don't want to give anymore of the story line away. I have to say that I truly enjoyed reading this book. I was actually upset when I finished it, I wanted the story to keep going. I can't wait for the sequel!

Enjoyed reading this book. Its an easy read. Its a must read for every pre-teen and teen. Although every age group would enjoy this book and possibly even learn some lessons from it. Very entertaining and thought provoking.

I love the trials Lana faces and overcomes in her life. As a teacher I love the fact that the author has created a character that has differences which make her special. This is an easy read that will touch your heart. I highly recommend it.

I read this story several months ago and I still can't get it out of my head. This is a tale that will make you feel all warm inside and make you feel better than you did to start with. It makes mermaids seam a possibility and love in the grasp of the unwanted from society. So if you are feeling down and out, this is the book for you. If I had anything that could make it just a tad better, I would suggest to the author to add a little more action in it. I loved the book but there were moments when I felt a little more conflict could be beneficial. But this book is definately a treasure and I am expecting more from this author.

This book was an escape for me. An escape from reality into a world of fantasy where mermaids exist and the bermuda triangle is the home of dark mermaids.

Why isn't this book a movie yet??? It is there most creative book I've read in the past few years. It's like Twilight meets The Little Mermaid. Wow, definitely gonna read it again.

The summary seemed interesting, a different take on mermaids. I tried reading it, I really honestly did because I do n't like wasting money (who does? ). But the money was wasted and oh lord is this book awful. I'm an avid reader and I have been since I first learned to read. I've read so many books but never one so terrible. It feels as though this book was written by someone who's never actually read before. The way the story is pieced together doesn't quite mesh. The writing feels childish. I'm in disbelief the publisher had nothing to say about it. Maybe it's one of those books aimed at a much younger crowd and therefore they figure it doesn't really need to be well written. But the character is 17 I'm 21. If the main character is supposed to seem anything like a 17 year old she doesn't. I was confused by all the glowing reviews, so I decided to post mine so anyone like me could save their money and buy a better book. If it's mermaids you want be sure to try Lost Voices. The best I've ever read in mermaid literature and definetly one of my favorite books.

I loved this story. It was so cute and made me feel good at the end. Maybe a little simple at times but very uplifting.

It is so wonderful to finally be able to read a book that is wholesome and imaginative. I am so tired of all the crap that is circulating in our written entertainment. I've never heard of this author before, but she is definitely a lady. The book itself is very refreshing and makes you feel like you can belong even if you look a little different. I always have loved mermaid stories and this one didn't disappoint.

Story line could have been great but was not written well at all. Could not get through it. Maybe if I was 9 years old.
