    A difficult read...

I personally love this Author, but I am disappointed with this book. It is very hard to make any sense of what is going on at all. She constantly changes her pronoun usage for the same character (with several of them). One sentence the character is referd to as a she, in the next a he and so on and so on. The also keeps changing character names. One character in particular I have no clue what to call it, at least 3 or 4 names were used in the first few chapters for the character. And she will be talking about a wharacter then suddenly the characters name changes (and this happens a few times) and you are going huh? I have read most of her books, except for this series, so I was highly disappointed and frustrated with her writing when I began this one. The story line is great, if you can manage to keep up with all the flip flops of where you are and what is going on and who is actually involved, but really it takes a TON of focus to get to that point and several rereads of passages.

    Legends

I am in the process of reading this book, and am so far very satisfied. The author is very skilled and wrote a great book. I would recommend this book to anybody who has read the Eragon books and enjoyed them. However, with this book, like most fantasy books, you have to pay attention to the plot and characters. Because if you don't, th book can get confusing. Also a great book to read on your nook. I hope you enjoy it!

    Not what I expected...

I'm in love with anything and everything that involves dragons...but I have to agree with the negative reviews. By the 12th page I'd given up. It drops you into a story already in progress, provides you with very brief detsils, and expects you to catch up. I was very excited when I found a 700+ page book about dragons but was very disappointed at the quality of the book.

Poor start for the first book in series :(

The author starts you out in the middle of a battle with no understanding of what the whole situaiton is about and it takes a long time to figure it out.

    Bailed out

Too confusing and i don't feel like re-reading it to try and understand the character. I think the author should re-write the beggining and make it easier to get into the story.

Really..... If you can't spell something right then you shouldn't be posting a negative review. I don't care if you did it on purpose.

    Excellent story.

I enjoyed this book even if the writing was a little rough around the edges. Never seen quite so much 'smirking' by characters at inappropriate moments. At times the flow of the book felt like the text had been generated by a program rather than a person. However, I enjoyed the story enough to purchase the other two books in the series!

    Couldn't hold my attention

This book had an interesting plot and I thought it would be great, but I feel like I got tired of reading it fairly quickly. I bought it over a month ago, and I'm still only on p.510 or so of over 700. It started out fairly fast-paced, but then slowed way down, and only now is starting to pick up the pace again. The bok was a good idea, but I would have probably enjoyed it more if it were shorter.

    Not a good book

This book is too confusing. I tried to read the beginning, but once I've read it, it doesn't make any sense at all. I'm sorry, but this is not a good book.

    Umm?

Good story but so confussing. I feel like this story could have been so much better if there was a book before this one to explain what was going on.
