Published between 2007 and 2010, the Legends and Lore of Illinois was a monthly newsletter that sought to recapture the fun of learning about local legends and ghostlore and the thrill of visiting allegedly haunted places. Each issue of the Legends and Lore of Illinois focused on a unique location and contained a factual write up, a story set at the location involving the adventures of The Fallen (an elite team of paranormal investigators), personal experiences, trivia, and letters from the reader.

Meet the Author

Michael Kleen earned a M.A. in History from Eastern Illinois University in 2008 and a M.S. in Education from Western Illinois University in 2011. He is the author of numerous books, including Tales of Coles County, Illinois, Six Tales of Terror, Haunting Illinois: A Tourist's Guide to the Weird and Wild Places of the Prairie State, and Paranormal Illinois. Michael has spoken about local history and folklore at conventions, libraries, cafes, schools, and colleges; and he has presented research papers at the 2007 and 2010 Conference on Illinois History in Springfield.

    doesnt tell you any info about the ledgends its like a nancy drew book put to ghost places in illinois . hated it
