Told their coming was prophesied over three thousand years ago, they begin their quest to locate a magic sword, which is the only weapon able to conquer the Warlock. I bought this book for my 2 daughters- ages 13 and 11. They liked it so much, I thought I would give it a read. Even if you don't usually read fantasy genre, you will like this book. Yes, it has fairies, dragons and other fantasy-characters, but it also has a great plot of missing children, a spooky house and a heroic older brother. I enjoyed the dynamics of the main characters- all children that my girls could relate to. The suspense was great and leaves the reader eager to see what happens next. Can't wait for the next book in the series to be published!
I purchased this book to read to my 2 nieces on days and weekends when they stayed with us. I am not much of a fantasy reader, but they are. This story is very charming! It has everything a fantasy story should have, wizards, witches, elves, fairies, a courageous dragon, magic swords and charms and 4 coming of age teens that set out on a journey to discover their destiny in a fight against evil. The teens have very distinctive personalities that I think every kid can identify with and will be able to see themselves in. My nieces were eager to get to the following chapters to see what happened next. The book is full of energy and I could easily picture the events in my head as the story progressed. It was a fun story to read and will end with the reader wanting more! I recommend this book for any young reader that loves a good fantasy story!
