Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

An activity book for Chima fans present and future.

Children's Literature - Suzie Davis
Chima is a magical land where animals are evolved to have human characteristics from drinking water they refer to as Chi. Chi distribution is controlled by the Lions, but the Crocodile tribe believes they should control the Chi; and with the help of the Wolves and Ravens, they battle with the Lions, who are assisted by the Eagles and Gorillas, to gain control. Not only did the Chi evolve the animals and provide them with enhanced strength and instincts, it is also the source of power for their technologically advanced machines that are described within these pages. LEGO fans will enjoy learning more about the Chima characters in this issue of Lions and Eagles. Along with brief histories about these particular animal tribes and certain members of each tribe, there are stories, quizzes, games and a toy LEGO version of Lennox, one of the Lion tribe warriors, for young readers’ enjoyment. Although the cover of the books says it is for ages 7 up, it is simplistic enough for slightly younger readers, but children older than ten might find it a bit juvenile. Reviewer: Suzie Davis; Ages 6 to 10.
