Meet the Author

Hi, I'm Nick Taylor, I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, possibly the greatest place on earth. I went to Dakota Ridge High and was in band-- that's right I was a band nerd and no, I don't have any cool "one time at band camp" stories, so don't ask.

I started writing in October of 2007. I was driving around with a friend and said "hey, I wonder if I can write a book." So I thought I'd try and write outline and see what happens. Well, I finished the outline and I couldn't just stop there. I needed to write chapter one and then that would be it. Do you see where this is going? Anyway, after chapter one was done, I had to finish the first book. But I wanted to get input as I went in order to write a better story. I decided to do a podcast of the first three chapters to see what people thought. After the first podcast, I decided that I wanted to continue to do it and more over, I wanted to get a larger listener base. It's all been a wonderful journey from there.

This series couldv ebeen finished in this book. Although i have enjoyed it, the book wa sfilled with useless mundane details that did nothing to keep the story going. At some points it wa slike taking a break from the real story and reading something like a soap opera. I presume thatthe author include dthese details to add depth to his characters. I suggest that he find another method. And at some points the characters personalities were all the same kind of quirky; kind of like they melded together. Sasha and Legon were nothing like the humble kids they wer ein the first book. I know a lot change dfor them but they seem almost haughty. Arkin is different too. That being said, i still loved both books. If you are a true reader of the genre you will enjoy the Legon series. The characters, while indistinct at times all have distinctive roles and are introduced properly (can't wait to see Rachel turn up again). And the story is just wonderful! If you are reading review to make ur decision, here it is: READ THIS BOOK!!

I really enjoyed this booj. The author did a wonderful job adding to this story. My only complaint is the editing for the digital version of this book. As with the first book the grammar and spelling was aweful and it took away from the read at times.

Unfortunately people here dont understand how books work. Sometimes to be realistic, you have to put sexual references, deaths of main characters, and "modern" terms. Most people dont know it but "high five" and "blow me" have been around a long time. Blow me longer than high five. This book shows a fantasy story, as realistic as can be. Beleive it or not, back in times similar to those in this series, sex was known by all ages, even kids, they were just responsible enough to not go fuc<_>king eachother before marriage. Unlike today. Where kids are having sex at 15. And getting upset when they get herpes and pregnant. Back to the books. All the characters were very well thought and portrayed, and the switching of the perspectives, he went back a bit when he did switch them for a good reason. You might not know where you are in the stories. All the spelling errors werent his either. This book and all others here were edited, but had to be retyped to make into an ebook, and the person who typed this series didnt look over his work as it is with most unpopular and long books. Its unfortunate that such a good writer gets put down for somebody elses mistakes. Now. This seeies has sexual term like brothel (strip club) prosti<_>tution, rape, and wh<_>ore. It involves gruesome death scenes and should never be read by a child 13 and under, and im 14, and i thought it was a bit iffy. Its gripping, enchanting, and loveable. A great find and read.
