Meet the Author

Hi, I’m Nick Taylor, I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, possibly the greatest place on earth. I went to Dakota Ridge High and was in band— that’s right I was a band nerd and no, I don’t have any cool “one time at band camp” stories, so don’t ask.I started writing in October of 2007. I was driving around with a friend and said “hey, I wonder if I can write a book.” So I thought I’d try and write outline and see what happens. Well, I finished the outline and I couldn’t just stop there. I needed to write chapter one and then that would be it. Do you see where this is going? Anyway, after chapter one was done, I had to finish the first book. But I wanted to get input as I went in order to write a better story. I decided to do a podcast of the first three chapters to see what people thought. After the first podcast, I decided that I wanted to continue to do it and more over, I wanted to get a larger listener base. It's all been a wonderful journey from there.

This was a freebie but I would have paid for it. Loved the story line, the characters and the subplots. You will definitely want to read the second book to see what happpens to the characters who became friends.

This book had everything fantasy you could ever want to read. There were epic battles, elves, wizards, and dragons. This book was over 700 pages and I was captivated from page 1. Cannot wait to read book 2!

I really enjoyed this book. I was skeptical when I got it because it was free but really got into the book as I read. There wasn't much wrong with the book, I do wish a few things were explained a little better but overall the book was great. I have the Nookbook and I really got annoyed with all of the spelling and grammar errors. I really wish someone went through and fixed these things. It is unfair to the writer that his book has so many errors in it. This can be distracting to people when reading.

This review is from an avid Sci-fy, Fantasy reader. Download now... go ahead and get the second book so you can continue on without pause. The characters are very well developed with just enough lacking so their growth through the book is interesting. I loved the storyline...interest caught and continued. Just downloaded book number 2....will look into more by this author.

To answer someone q there is a little romance but for the most part no. Really good book but the is like 3 swear words and alot of violence and gore 780 pages long which is pretty normal to read at leasy 4 me. Long review holy poo!

One of the coolest books i have ever read! I am 11. I have an 11 grade 7 month reading level. There are a DOZEN typographical errors, but if you can literally struggle through it, you'll be ok.

This book had a storyline like the book Eragon all the way through. I thought it was really graphic and disturbing at some parts, though. Aside from that, it was a very exciting, thrilling, action packed, adventurous book. I would not recommend this book for kids younger than eleven.

I love this book, and the two others also. The whole Legon series makes me want to slap myself for not getting it sooner! The grammitical errors make it a little hard to understand at times, but compared to the charceters and the plot, it is nothing. I suggest reading all the books, and you will not be dissapointed! Ten stars!

I found this book quite hard to put down. While it was in need of proofing to a greater extent , the storyline was fast paced and imaginative. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

It's a good read! But let me warn you that there are some matured language! Otherwise Nicholas Taylor spices up the plot with suspense, a touch of romance. Also, this is not a boring generic fantasy book, like "I found a dragon egg what do I do with it now"? Overall Nicholas Taylor wrote a book that will make you find yourself at the edge of your seat. A book that will be sure to enjoy generation after generation. Gogoggogo buy it now!!!
