Meet the Author

David W. Cook is a noted painter and sculptor whose works have been shown in many galleries and museums. He has studied, observed, and sometimes catered for "his ladies" in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and other places he has called home. His memories of being The Lawnboy to "these ladies" are vivid, and his childhood tales are woven throughout this book.

Janet Letnes Martin is an author, publisher and speaker who has co-authored 16 books. One of her books, "Growing Up Lutheran: What does this mean?", co-authored with Suzann Nelson, won the Minnesota Book Award for Humor, and was produced into a musical comedy entitled "Church Basement Ladies." This wildly successful musical has been playing to a full house for over two years in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is mounting a national tour. Janet has been writing and speaking about the lighter side of life for over twenty years.

    Lots to Love about 'Lemonade...'

I went through ¿Lemonade for the Lawnboy¿ in a single sitting! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The insight to and character development of each one of these ladies was incredible and fascinating to read. I can¿t honestly tell you what I expected¿that it would be funny, certainly, and it was, very but the depth to which the author developed the characters, the life she gave them, was remarkable. I even intend to try a few of the recipes! And David¿s illustrations are amazing! They are worth the price of the book alone! What a great book!
