Leo Lion

Leo Lion

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Fuzzy board books seems to be popular. Perhaps it is the desire to stroke and touch the soft book cover like a stuffed animal. Leo is stitched into the bright yellow plush that covers the book. He is a cute little lion and even has a tail that hangs from the book's spine. A full strong pulls indicate that this books should stand up to infant and toddler abuse. Leo has a problem common to many young kids—he feels very confident of his abilities and doesn't listen to his parents. Off he goes into the trees chasing birds and as he wanders it gets dark. Then Leo realizes that he is alone and lost. Fortunately for this little cub, Mom was nearby and she rescues her baby and takes him safely home. "We're right where we should be—together!" The message is pretty clear and most kids will have no trouble getting it. 2003, Tiger Tales, Ages 6 mo. to 3.
