    The best of its kind.

    Never record or watch a movie without checking Maltin 1st.
    Almost always right on!

    Not up to past coverage.

    I love the old black and white movies. For me, Maltin has dropped too many of the old movies from his current edition.

    Great Gift for the Picky Relative

    My dad doesn't want knick knack's to clutter up his house for Christmas. He doesn't want a collection of barbeque sauces and he is particular about his clothes. What I do know is he needs a new movie guide. And the thing about the movie guides written by Leonard Maltin are that they very comprehensive. My Dad finds the most obscure Foreign Films at the library or B Movies from the 70's and 80's on TV to watch and he always looks them up to see their ratings. I sneak a peak at what Leonard has to say about my favorite movies as well. It's also useful to find out the actors or check off the movies you've already seen. And its an easy buy, every other year I get him the latest so he can read up all the latest films. So if all else fails, this is a great book for the picky relative or anyone who likes a little background behind their movie viewing.
