Editorial Reviews

Amazon - Sabina Bauer
Each unit is easy to follow, thought-provoking and comprehensive, providing all the research and knowledge needed to lead children through each unit with confidence and success. With specific examples of differentiated and age-appropriate lessons, the whole family can study the same topic together while each child is still challenged at her/his own academic and developmental level.
This book is a fantastic support to help make your dream come true of exploring the ocean with your children.
Testimonial - Tania Aebi
Lesson Plans Ahoy! would be a great supplement to anybody who is customizing a curriculum for their children, or even as a supplement to a structured program. I am impressed with its thoroughness, and the index with all the links is very useful.
YachtPals.com - Kim Hampton
An excellent resource for those sailing with school aged children, this is a book no cruising parents should be without.
Points East Magazine - Sandy Marsters
Lesson Plans Ahoy is designed to make the best use of the environment of kids living on boats... I can't wait to get back on the boat with my grandson to try some of this. And the lesson plans don't just work for kids being home-schooled on boats. They would also be fun on a short coastal cruise or even on a seaside summertime vacation.
Good Old Boat Magazine - Carolyn Corbett
Slavinski has provided directions for differentiating the lessons that allow parents to modify the material for the individual child, as well as to easily adapt the lessons to children ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old. It’s amazing!...It is difficult to convey in a short review how applicable the lessons are to life aboard a boat... I strongly recommend all “boat schooling” families check out this valuable resource!
