The NIV is easy to read, but President Carter provides explanations of passages, explains in terms that help to really understand and enjoy the bible. This is a book which for those new to the bible should have, it provides answer to questions you have after reading a passage or verse, it is having a guide, tutor with you as you begin to understand the teachings of the bible and best of all opens your mind to realizing that this book applies to all generations, we as people may change, but what you learn from the bible applies as much today as it did in the beginning. President Carter helps you to really understand and appreciate the bible.
