Jennifer Freed, M.A., M.F.T., is a licensed marriage, family, and child therapist with twenty years of experience in psychotherapy. The founder of Astrological Counseling Seminars, an institute for astrological psychology, she is a professional astrologer who has been teaching the subject for eight years. Freed lives in Santa Barbara, California.

Lessons From Stanley the Cat

"Lessons From Stanley The Cat" is the purrrfect book for anyone who is looking for little gems of wisdom on how they can live their lives to the fullest, with less stress, and more joy. The life lessons imparted by Stanley, while often simplistic is things that we often overlook while we zip through our daily routines. He touches on everything from healthy habits, love/romance and everything in between. One of my favorite Stanley gems was,"you will never feel left out if you treasure your own company the most." Reading this book put a smile on my face, and the illustrations were like icing on the cake. A definite keeper for my bookshelf, and something I will reread often. A cute book,the perfect gift for young or old, for anyone who is looking for a bit of sunshine when they are having a hard day!

Stanley - much more than just cat

I am not a cat lover, but after reading this book I admit I have to reconsider my reluctance towards cats. This is a lovely book where we get to learn about life through four chapters, where the the wisdom of Stanley is shared by the author. For sure, she succeeds in understanding, interpreting and translating Stanley's behavoiur into words. And she does this in a very accesible way, even for a reader like me who does not have English as a mother tongue. Each page begin with a phrase that summarize a piece of wisdom about life and this is then developed on the same page throgh one or two paragraphs. This structure enables you to read the book in different ways, you can either make a quick read of just the first sentence or you can choose to read more abour each wisdom. You do not have to read the book page by page, but you can pick it up now and then when your in the need or in the mood for some cat wisdom. The Illustrations are very humouristic and give the book yet another level of intelligence. You may read the book by only looking at the illustrations, since these are full of knowledge as well. If you have small child you can use these illutsrations to talk about life and have a cosy moment togehter. So this is a book for everyone and every age!
