This is a great series, if you are looking for easy reading and happily ever after, with just a little angst along the way. Hope Falls is small town living, where everybody knows everybody, where the guys are gorgeous and successful, and the women are successful and not really looking for love.

Loved the deries! Wish there were more. Maybe a reunion or someone unexpected?

Tessa is returning to Hope Falls (a new town in this series, similar to Harpers Crossing); Jake hasn’t seen her in 13 years, ever since she left him and town all together without a word. Tessa came back to finalize her grandma’s will, then discovers the house she inherited is in debt for $30K. Yikes! Guess she has to stay in town until she fixes it up and sells it. Not that it was such a bad thing. I mean, Jake wasn’t 17 anymore—he was a MAN and a firefighter. HOTTIE! Jake was Tessa’s first—first kiss, first time, first love, first proposal. What happened? Why did she leave such sweet man-candy? Ah, she left to see the world. Understandable. But there’s actually more to it than that. I didn’t blame Jake for being pissed. They both had plans and she just left like a coward. No wonder his heart turned to ice. Like the Harpers Crossing books, characters all have the same history, childhood, and memories. Everybody knows everybody, each paired off with their significant other, and they are all family. And, like the previous Shawn novels, each couple has their own electric chemistry and compatibility. Jake and Tessa have this special kinship and bond—they were practically made for each other. Once again, Shawn captivates us with heartwarming stories and endearing characters.

Jake Maguire and Tessa Hayes were in love when they were 17 and planned to spend their lives together and raise a family. But after Tessa had a miscarriage and learned she couldn't have more children, she left the small town and Jake without telling him. She though it was the best thing she could do for him so he could find someone else to have a family with. She went to live with her grandmother and became a well known photojournalist. When her grandmother developed dementia she had to quit her job in order to look after her. Jake had a hard time dealing with Tessa leaving him but tried to forget her with a lot of women. It didn't work. When Tessa came back to settle her grandmother's affairs after being away for 13 years, Jack tried to ignore her but they kept being thrown together. I liked Jake a lot. He was a very strong man who was dealt a bad hand he didn't deserve. I felt so sorry for him because he had no idea why Tessa left him but he still loved her when she came back. I liked that he had a good supportive family. I didn't like Tessa much though. She did what she thought was best for Jake by leaving him but I kept thinking she should talk to him about it. While this story didn't have a lot of action scenes, it was a nice second-chance romance with a good ending.

I really enjoyed this story. I found it interesting though that I've only read two books in this series (this and the 1st one) and both involve the death of a parental figure and memorial service, etc and the death brings an estranged couple back together.

Reading this book was torture. There was one surprise - there was no miracle pregnancy at the end. Explicit sex scenes skipped.

Let It Snow is a great second-chance love story. I love Jake. He's strong and brooding. He's harbored his feelings for Tessa since the day she left and fights his feelings for her from the minute she returns to town. I love his relationship with his family and friends - it's clear they would all do anything for each other. Tessa is a bit of a hot mess in this story. It's like she can't catch her breath from the minute we meet her, crossing her legs while driving down the highway in search of a bathroom (who among us hasn't been there - I loved it). She's also fighting her feelings for Jake and has been since she left. It takes most of the extent of this story for the two of them to realize the decisions they made as children didn't have to be the same decisions they make as adults. It's a sweet story of broken hearts and second chances, first loves and last loves, and small towns that have a character of their own. Another great installment in the Hope Falls series.

I love this Hope Falls series! And Jake & Tessa's story might be my favorite of them all! Their story is dramatic from the very beginning. Secrets, sex, and humor. It was a page turner from the very beginning! I hope there will be more from Hope Falls - maybe Levi's HEA??

Another winner.  This is such a great book.  It is part of a series, however, each book is stand alone.  Jake and Tessa had a love they thought would never die.  Things happen and thirteen years later they have a chance to start all over again...

This sounds like a great book for older people to read and its not great for little people to read becausr some books have some bad words in them and little children can pick up by that and they will not understand what they are reading and there could be very bad wotds that they will say back to people and they will get in trouble by their parantd and they will not understand why they get in trouble for
