Lethal Carnival
January 2012. A young student at the University of Venice is found drowned. This is the first in a series of murders with an unclear motive. The girl's thesis was about one of the most important confraternities of the 16th century, which was the target of a series of crimes committed in 1575, during the Carnival of Venice, which historians called the "Murderous Carnival". Five centuries later, would the same obscurantists who believed they were doing the right thing by sowing terror act again? Will Benedict Ugh, professor of Latin at the University of Geneva, be able to uncover the unimaginable intrigue that seems to be emerging from the unnatural alliance of a far-right group of the Roman Curia and the mercenaries of ISIS, with the aim of killing the Pope, whom they consider too favorable against immigrants? History repeats itself, the struggle between fanaticism and logic never ends, the insanity of people knows no bounds...
