Overview

This application is recommended for ages 4+.

Lets name things that are heavy.

This colorful vocabulary App for the NOOK Family of Devices by Barnes & Noble has all 52 illustrated picture cards (plus audio of each card text) from the Let's Name... Things Fun Deck by Super Duper Publications. Select the cards you want students to see, and have them name items to practice vocabulary, categorizing, and thinking skills. The prompts include statements like, Lets name things that live in the ocean. and Lets name things youd take on a trip.

This App is simple to use each student looks at an illustration, and either reads the prompt or touches the screen to listen to the prompt. The student then gives a verbal response. After each answer, tap the green (correct) or red (incorrect) button to score the students verbal response. Move to the next card by sliding the card currently on the display screen to the side, and the next image appears. Move to the next player by sliding the bar at the top of the screen. When you finish, view the results, and email them to as many addresses as you like.

Lets Name Things Fun Deck App lets you:
Select all 52 cards or just the ones you want students to see.
Enter all your students names.
Track correct and incorrect responses for an unlimited number of players.
Email your results at the end of each game.

(Note: The App resets all data to zero at the start of each new game, so at the end of a game, email yourself any data you want to keep.)

This is an excellent app!....if you want to work on naming skills. I can probably use this every day with my speech therapy clients. It helps you tally accuracy while doing a generative naming task. Thanks Super Duper for the freebie!

I just used this app for the first time in a therapy session and the kids loved it! The only problem was that I couldn't get the results to email. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Wonderful game to play with my son when waiting for time to pass. The scoring gives him a reward, sometimes we take turns so he must decide if I gave the correct answer. Please note this is a TOOL for special needs childern, not a game for typicaly developing kids. This WILL bore most normal 3+ yr olds.

You don't spell anything. The prompt is read by the computer voice and you select the green or red button to score. That is it!! It is an app on a nook. I want it to be interactive. Boring.

This App was not what I was expecting. It gives you a category and an adult has to keep track of if the child says something in that category. I was hoping my child could play independently, but that is not what this App is for.

How do you play or whatever this does. Do you just say it or you have to write it down. I removed from home. Not even worth one star. Disapointed.

Great questioning for younger students. Much easier than carrying a deck (or several decks) from class to class. I really like the setting that allows you to automatically switch between students for small or large group sessions
