Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
PreS-- The objects featured in these British imports are clearly delineated through the illustrations and relate to the world of babies. The books provide opportunities for children to name things and to interact with their new world. Noise features familiar (or soon to be familiar) objects--a dog, train, cat, truck, sheep, and baby--and encourages participation. Youngsters from numerous ethnic backgrounds are shown with different toys in Play . The cover is misleading since most toddlers can't blow soap bubbles, but the other toys and activities are appropriate: banging a drum, knocking down blocks, kissing a doll, etc. If board books are in demand, add these two to the collection. --Gale W.
