    Deals With Tough Questions

This is a great book for Christians and atheists alike. The author takes the questions that his father (and millions of other people) have about Christianity, its roots, and its practices, and answers them in sensitive by straight forward ways. This method of answering such questions is a good way for Christians to think about the objections made by those of different (or no) faith without feeling threatened or defensive. For non-Christians, it is a venue to get some of the questions answered that may have been on a person's mind for a long time with no one to ask. Whatever the reader's religious or spiritual background, it's not a hard read and something I'd recommend reading once to take in the story of an evolving relationship between a son and his father, and reading again to really ponder the questions and answers between the two as they write back and forth. One version of this book also has questions for small group study in the back that are pretty thought provoking.

    Difficult Questions Intelligently Addressed

Although some arguments are elliptical, the preponderance of logical conclusions provide the most lucid explanations of Christianity's beliefs I have read outside of CS Lewis. Written in concise and accessible language, the "difficult" questions that occur to a serious thinker about the perceived conundrums that most have obtained through uneducated Biblical interpretation are resolved. This book is more a tipping point for a doubter than a work for a hardened atheist. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend it to any who want to know the true core basis of Christianity.

    Great resource

This book not only addresses the questions and doubts of many skeptics but also Christians. Faith does not always come from understanding, but it's definitely stregthened when you see a rational case for Christian faith spread out so well! Don't necessarily agree with Dr. Boyd's theology, but his his laying out of so many key issues leading to theology would make me recommend this book to anyone with questions regarding Christianity.
