    AWESOME!!!! MUST READ

    This book teaches about African American history. I learned a lot and i believe people of all ages, creed, and color should read the book to increase their knowledge and understandment of black history. I loved this book and couldn't put it down ; D

    Loved it!

    It was sad to think about how people had to live back then. But it was a really cool book. We are lucky that there is no more slavery! I feel terrible for all those peeople that have been slaves :-(

    what about the book???

    this book was ok. i read it aloud to my little sis whos 9 and she loved it. i personally think it was sad, about what happened to her family.

    One of my favorite books of all time.

    This book should be read by young teenagers and adults. It's a great book that helps us understand what a young black girl must have felt during the mid 1800s.

    *Remarkable*

    I loved this book. It gave everyone a great description of slave life and what they actually went through. I have read this book over and over again. When I fist go it I finshed it in one day. I truely recommend this book to any and everyone. It will really touch you and understand what you already knew and teach you something you maybe didn't know.
