Letters of Emily Dickinson

( 1 )

Overview

Lovingly compiled by a close friend, this first collection of Dickinson's letters originally appeared in 1894, only eight years after the poet's death. Animated by the same spirited sensitivity as her much-admired verse, Dickinson's correspondence vividly depicts characters and incidents from her reclusive life, and her famous wit sparkles from every page.

A Must read for true fans of Emily

As is common with Google Books, there are some "funky" artifacts from the scanning and Optical Character Recognition process. These were relatively few, and did not distract from the reading. The book itself is lightly edited, and contains more lengthy glimpses into the mind of Emily than you get from just reading her poems. A must read for true fans of Emily.
