Definitive, moving, and poignant. Great job Jaleta!

An interesting musing on what it might be like if you *could* hold on to someone forever. Of course, nothing is ever what it seems, and in this story, that's as true as the sun rising each and every day so far. What's the saying? "If it seems too good to be true...?" This is a high quality, tightly-crafted short story intended to show you the author's calibre and prepare you for longer fiction by the same writer. Check out Ms. Clegg's other tales, too!

Good concept and fairly well written. Nice characters. But the tale could have went farther

Writer has some talent. Although the story could have been more developed, it still makes you wonder: how many gullible people are out there in the world? Something like this in real life wouldn't surprise me at all.

'Letting Go', deals with the subject of life preservation and looks at how far people would go to avoid losing someone dear to them, and how easy it is for the unscrupulous to exploit this. For me, the ending came a bit too quickly and maybe didn't tie things up as neatly as I would have liked. But on the whole it is a well thought out story showing how people can react unpredictably when faced with grief/loss.
