strategies to release those worries to God

Reviewed by Lori M for Readers Favorite

After reading this book, I now realize that I don't have to accept my fate as forever being a worrywart. Even though I knew that the Bible tells us that we shouldn't be anxious about anything, I have still struggled with worry. Author Dr. Linda Mintle really helped me see the root causes of my worrying and how to address them. I learned that worrying is a form of trying to control a situation.

This book is loaded with real life relatable examples of what other people worry about and what triggers their worry. It helps readers to understand that they aren't the only ones who struggle with worrying too much.

In some of the chapters, it was if I was reading about myself or looking into a mirror. I didn't realize how much I really did use worry as what I thought was a tool for coping. As it turns out, that won't work.

No matter what you're worrying about, whether it be job worries, money worries, health worries, or relationship worries, Dr. Mintle gives you strategies to release those worries to God and let Him handle them. After all, if God's got our backs, which He does, why should we worry?

As the author points out in her book, women worry more than men do. I recommend this book to all women who worry too much and feel responsible for everyone and everything. Step back and let go of that worry and follow God's plan for finding peace and contentment.
