    Libera goes Drum Corps

I bought this CD after hearing two songs from it during the 2003 DCI drum corps season and it is fantastic! These boys put so much emotion into their singing it's unbelievable. As far as I know, two different drum corps played the music of this group: Phantom Regiment played Sanctus and the Rochester Patriots played Angelis. Both did excellent arrangements. If you like this CD I highly reccomend you get your hands on recordings of their shows!

    Hallucinating!

Relax! Indulge your senses and allow yourself to drift away on a musical journey with an immesurably exquisite celestial choir of angels! Few things in live give me goose bumps out of sheer ecstasy; Libera is one of them. Too bad they have only released two titles so far.

    Shining and uplifting!

I love this!--the delightfully pure sound of a boy choir combined with electronic instrumentation and technobeats. Robert Prizeman¿s arrangements are both intense and ethereal, reinterpreting traditional Latin church lyrics in a modern light. The voices of the Libera choir, with young soloists Liam O¿Kane, Adam Harris, Steven Geraghty and Alex Baron, truly take flight in the soaring melodies, while the electronic beats and harmonies add depth and movement to the music. Play this album to celebrate the joys and mysteries of life, or to unburden yourself from cares. While the syncopated tracks of Libera are akin to the work of the Enigma, another group which combines chant and popular music, the simpler, quieter compositions have a heavenly sound all their own.

    Amazing!!!

Our school is putting on ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' by Shakespeare. We started listening to this cd for ideas and we were amazed. We only needed one cd for all of our dances! The music is simply stunning. They sound like a choir of angels.

    Breathtakingly Beautiful!!!~

I stumbled onto this CD by accident while looking for another selection in the New Age area, and WHAT a find! The music is absolutely divine, very exciting, soothing and with substance! It takes you through a garden of blooming orchids and rechannels the senses and nerve endings. This is surely a keeper and the boys choir and various vocalists, have done themselves well... richly stunning voices with a comforting simplicity. Yes, a real gem of a CD... everyone should have one, regardless of your religious affiliation. It will take you to a higher level of existence.

    Libera is simply INCREDIBLE!

The first time I heard the song Salva Me I had goose bumps. The CD is a definate for those who love and appreciate traditional boys choirs, and new age type music. Agnus Dei is one of my favourites and just pulls at your heart. The CD is so good I had to get a two, one for my car and one for the house. A definate plus for Libera. I hope they put another CD out in the near future.

    WOW! Stunningly good!

The voices of the English cathedral boychoir tradition join with tasteful new-age synthesizer backing and studio production to produce a disc that is at times soothing, at times emotional. Very similar to Enya on some cuts, it also draws heavily from the classical boychoir retertoire of the Latin mass. The singing is simply extraordinary, and a couple of the treble boys' voices are some of the finest I have ever heard. Listen to the second cut - Sanctus, sung to the music of Pachelbel's canon - and I DEFY you not to get a lump in your throat or a tear in your eye. It is one of the most beautifully-presented songs I can remember, and I am absolutely haunted by it. These boys are from the choir of St. Phillip's in London, and MAN, are they good! Whether you like new-age music or the classical boychoir, I think you'll love this unique blending of the two styles.
