Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Ganderton straddles a line between a pattern book and a love letter to Liberty Art Fabrics in the venerable textile company's first-ever home sewing book. Each project calls for a specific print from their gorgeous collections, but replacing the Liberty fabric with similar prints would still make this a solid book of basic to intermediate sewing projects. Alongside the instructions are helpful color drawings to illustrate the process of each step. Many also contain ideas for slightly increasing the complexity if desired. Among the projects for the home are quilts, pillows, bags, aprons and accents. Although some knowledge of sewing is expected in the instructions, the final section of the book also provides drawings and explanations of basic seams, hand stitching, and other processes and terms. The work succeeds as both a pictorial homage to Liberty and a guide to cute, accessible projects. (Oct.)
