Genoa "does" Thanksgiving like he "did" time travelling in Foop, which came out quite a while ago, so I have been anxiously awaiting this book for a long time. It did not disappoint, although the story is mysterious. The book pretty much a mystery book and is difficult to review. The mystery is about the "real" Thanksgiving, which is revealed if you read the book cover to cover. It is very funny. Genoa often gets comparisons to Christopher Moore, and I think there is some validity in this, but like Moore says in his blurb, this book is much weirder than anything he has ever written. And because everyone loves comparisons so much, here's one more: I consider this book Bizarro's version of The Da Vinci Code, minus the poor writing and the horrible horribleness (while adding the Thanksgiving theme). Was this review helpful?
