CHECK OUT THIS DEBUT AUTHOR!

Jane Ann Keil-Stevens' new riveting tale of how a suburban mother of three who manages to keep her children close as they watch their father go to jail. Their entire world is turned upside down and they are forced to begin living a lifestyle that is totally foreign to them, one where their father is absent.

They don't pity themselves; rather, they pull themselves up by their bootstraps and face what life has thrown at them. Their experiences are not always pleasant, but as the saying goes, "Whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger".

This is the one thing all of them have in common: they are survivors. They stick together in good times (there are some) and in bad times (there are many).

Do yourself a favor and read this debut author. She has a fresh new voice, and a voice that deserves to be heard. It's a voice that not only tells a story, but one that completely draws you into the story and doesn't release its grip on you until the very end. It is at that point in the book that you don't want to be released, you want to know more.

Isn't that what a book is supposed to do; draw you in and then not let you go? Such is the case of this new author.

Her first paragraph is compelling and illustrates the satisfaction you'll feel as you accept the journey into this read. The teaser first paragraph follows:

She remembered how it started, the day her life changed forever. It was the day that a mother never forgets because of what happened to her child. It was also the day that a wife never forgets because of what happened to her marriage. That very day, it was harder than ever to be Kate Nelson.

The words and emotions of this new author will engage you into a world that will totally engulf you; for it will sadden you at times, but will leave you cheering for its heroine at all times.

"Lies of the Father" has a lot to offer a reader, and you will doing readers a favor if you let them experience the words of this truly talented author.

Editorial Reviews

B.K. Shapiro
Lies of the Father by Jane Ann Keil Stevens is a must read for all.

This book is on an important subject that everyone should know about. The characters are fluid and you will find yourself rooting for Kate and her kids. The end lesson being no matter how bad things are you can walk away with your head held high.
Barbara Joe Williams
Debut author, Jane Ann Keil-Stevens, touches on a very sensitive subject (child molestation). As a mother, Kate Nelson, is a protector of her teenaged, twin sons and young daughter, Kara. When her husband, Don Nelson, is arrested for the unthinkable, she also becomes their sole provider which is something she's never done before. But the question is, will she believe her husband of eighteen years or her twelve-year-old daughter?

This was a great book; I really enjoyed reading it. The author's use of character development is fantastic. The author portrays Kate, Don, and the rest of the characters as real people that I could identify with. When I began reading this book, I simply could not put it down. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in purchasing it.
