The book was written by his wife Mary Anna Jackson. The book is about the man, teacher, husband, and General. He was a great man, who's belief in god remained with him until his death . The book also points out that he started a Sunday School for Black People in the 1850's , and was teaching them to read. If you have seen the movie God's and Generals, and liked the movie, you will love this book.
