    It lost me.

This book lost me. Not because it was too hard to read, it just didn't captivate me.

    The best book evar written!

This book has changed my life forever. Before reading it I thought that the world was a shallow, hollow place, but now I can see the beauty and wonder that it truly holds. This lovely story has stunned and reinvigorated me so much, I can only humbly thank the author for putting her incredible words to paper.

I simply adore the way that the author doesn't abide by the common rules of grammar, but instead transcends them! She bravely dismisses grammatical rules and strikes out on her own, like Hemingway before her! It is truly awe inspiring to see how she disregards rules for character development, plot and pacing, to form her own ingeniously crafted story.

I have recommended this title for the Noble Prize in Literature. I'm quite sure that it will win and that everyone in the world will be so fortunate as to experience the post-modern style plot elements that defy all logic and boundaries but instead form a new method of writing that will truly take your breath away! I wait with hope for the day that the sequel is released so I can continue enjoying the author's singular style of writing and ironic snub to the rules of literature.

Never let rules hold you back, I say. Be who you are and write what you want!

It helped pass the time but that's about it.

I found this book on an airplane leaving California going to New York. It helped pass the time, but that's about it. I left it in the seat, maybe someone else can get something out of it also.

    Life Bloob

Outstanding book! Life Blood could captivate any audience as it has with me, I've read the book time and time again and I still find it as amazing as the first time i read it. A twisting story of love, friendship, action and un-told secrets. Life Blood is definitely a book that can not be put down when the reading starts. I would recommend this to anyone.

Life Blood is a must-read, especially for all you fans of vampire or thriller novels.

Life Blood is a suspenseful thriller that has twists and turns that leave you wondering what will possibly happen next. Once I started reading I could not put it down. Fans of vampire novels will especially love the interesting take on the "vampiric" nature of the protagonist in the story.

    Riveting

This book is spectacular. It's original and offers a sheen and crisp display of professionalism in writing. The diction, tone, and mood set by the offer keeps you riveted. She also goes into depth about details of the settings, environment, and the characters; it's like you're really there. I definitely recommend it to anyone who reads this review.

    No good!

This is one of the worst pieces of literature I have ever read. After getting through the spelling and grammatical errors I found the story to be a generic rip off of every other vampire story out there. The book felt like it was written by a self absorbed little girl living in a fantasy world. My advice to the author is to take some more classes in writing before trying to pass yourself off as an author.

This book is a great way to really out yourself in the shoes of another and live the adventure and the romance you have always dreamed of. Thank you S. Jean Brenner for weaving such an amazing story for me. I hope to read more of your world in soggy, North Bend Oregon. :)

    Life Blood.

I knocked off one star because even though i really enjoyed this book, i felt it could do with a little bit more explanation of what was going on with Aidan. Aidan is super sexy and i love his character but he remains a mystery, which in a way is a good thing, since it did keep me flipping pages. Either way i adore the book and hope the sequel clears up some of the mystery. :)

    I Also Recommend:

    Not my genre

Full disclosure, the author is my fiance. I'm a 23 year old male and this book was not written for me, being a teen romance story. I read this book so I could proofread it, but I ended up getting hooked like everyone else. I thought the first book was very well done, but then when I read the sequel I was surprised at the depth of the character perspective, and I enjoyed the pair even more. The two books complement one another in such a way that you know very quickly that there was a lot of attention given to detail. Each character comes to life and the reader feels the emotions of each character as their own. The suspenseful, yet fast-paced story is skillfully crafted and not cheesy or unrealistic. Every scene is believable, yet it feels like fantasy. Other authors have to cheat reality to achieve the same thrill.

    To Set the Record Straight

This book is a great read. Yes it has similarities with twilight but that just because were all stuck in that state of mind. All of us that read or seen twilight have those ideals stuck in our head. But this book lacks the fantasy style fiction for a more realistic style and believable story. All the actions in the book can actually happen. Unlike the sparkles. Also every action in this book is followed by the facts that make you fall in love with a story and it characters. It balances action with suspense. The question you ask your self while you read are answered leaving you wanting more. It gives you what you want without filler.

Give a new author a chance!

I got this book at the signing at Borders and am already finished with it. I wasn't sure what to expect from a new, upcoming author, but the book was truly fantastic! It is only volume one of a series and am already sick of waiting for the rest of the story. I fell in love with the characters and i cant stop thinking about the book...its just that captivating and amazing. I recommend this to anybody...give a new author a chance!

    Life's Inspiration

Life Blood is an incredible work, it is not only packed with mystery but suspence and action. All of which we all enjoy to read about. Suspence keeps the mind alert and it gives you a desire to keep flipping the pages. These things are hard to achieve in a book, and anyone who accomplishes to do one is great, but S. Jean Brenner accomplished them all, which put her on top of everyone else. She is truly an author that I will be wanting to read more from. Her creativity and point of view is something I look forward to reading in her following continuation of Life Blood. She is truly someone I look up to for advice and inspiration. She is a true and amazing author.

I originally found this author on a quiz writing website promoti

I originally found this author on a quiz writing website promoting her books and bought Life Blood , believing that all published authors were good writers. After reading this book, I was not only bitterly disappointed, but also learned that I was far from right. This book made me cry. It was just that painful to read. To be honest, this is one of the worst pieces of literature I have ever read. There are so many spelling and grammatical errors in this book it made me want to throw it across the room just to stop the torture. I tried so hard to think of the book as "Good" or at the very least, "Not a waste of time." I coerced myself to read until the end of the book, but I was still bitterly disappoint. This story has no credibility. I found that this book seems to lack detail and I had trouble imagining it in my head. There are so many contradictions in this story which I cannot even begin to name, there are just too many to name. This story just seems like another rip off of Twilight and every other vampire story out there. The generic idiotic girl whom everyone loves and a mysterious boy that's hiding a "dangerous" secret. I've seen this type of story so often that by the first chapter I had already known that Aiden had killed Jane's brother. Nothing was very exciting to me, and many events in this story seem like a stretch. I had many "What the heck?!" moments while reading this story and had to put the book down for a while before giving it another chance because I was so frustrated with the poor writing. Life Blood has truly opened my eyes and made me realize that not all published authors are necessarily good writers. To me, published books are sacred and are a true test of skill to an aspiring author. I believe that this story belongs on one of the many quiz websites on the internet and nothing more. It was truly a waste of money.
