Overview

Life in Looziana is a compilation of cartoons about festivals, food, football, and all the other things that make living in the Bayou State different, unique, and sometimes just plain weird. Each cartoon is accompanied by a brief commentary. Columnist Tom Aswell remarked, "It's a bargain if you're from Louisiana. If you're not from Louisiana, you can't possible understand its contents or its concept. But get it anyway. It's sure to be a classic."

For years, editorial cartoons by Fred Mulhearn have been featured in The (Baton Rouge) Advocate and other Louisiana newspapers. The late Secretary of State Fox McKeithen gave him the unofficial title of "Louisiana's Own Cartoonist."

In "Looziana", we like to laugh at ourselves. This book has laughs on every page! I especially like the one about when food comes in a brown paper bag and the grease soaks through the paper ... you KNOW it's going to taste good!
