Overview

Are you still looking for the "perfect" little black dress? Do you shop to heal your depression, boost your self-esteem, or solve a problem? Is shopping with your spouse more painful than dental surgery?

Filled with entertaining stories from the author's won shopping experiences - some funny, some heartbreaking - Life Lessons Learned While Shopping explains how the skills you need for a successful shopping expedition are the same ones you need for a successful life - self-discipline, patience, hope, and moderation, as well as instant recognition of a good deal. In order to learn from shopping, you must think carefully, at least some of the time, be aware of your finances - but not a slave to them, and not overindulge - unless you have a good reason.Life Lessons Learned While shopping invites you to take a closer look at your relationship with shopping, and encourages you to think of your next trip to the mall as more than just buying something new. By learning to make every purchase count, you'll not only become a better shopper, but a better person.

By relating GREAT life lessons to varied shopping experiences, this book leaves you not only with a fun & interesting sense of the women portrayed in the stories through their life experiences (bad or good) but it also leaves you with a few lessons learned.

I think this book is great. I am the type of person who enjoys shopping & reading horror stories, but this book told you what to buy and not what to buy, how to compare yourself to Martha Stewart, and not to get everything she does because it will burn a hole in your pocket fast.
