When Candice's in-laws died in a car accident eight months ago, she lost her husband Ian too. After only two years of marriage their guilt and pain have left them living together but apart. During Ian's month-long trip overseas, Candice plans to decide if her marriage can be saved, but when the first man she ever loved is the new client at work, she wonders what she truly wants from life and love.
To be totally honest, I was drawn to this book by the odd title and the beautiful cover artwork. I was very pleased with the author's writing style (I laughed out loud AND got teary eyed in spots) and the overall story line. The main character struggles with the state of her marriage and uses an extended absence from her husband to learn about herself as a person, as a career woman, as a friend, and as a wife. She discovers physical and emotional strength she didn't know she had. She wrestles with some tough decisions and the reader is left in the dark about her choice until she reveals her decision to the other characters. The complete story was told by the time the book ended, but it would be great to have a sequel! I could relate to all of the characters in this book on many levels. A quick enjoyable read that I am recommending to all my friends.

Sometimes when you read a book, you can only think about how unrealistic the story is. When a story isn't set in some other world, 500 years in the past, or 1,000 years in the future, you expect to be able to relate intimately with the characters. I found that I was able to easily do this with this book. The struggles of the main character are struggles that you could imagine yourself going through, the choices she makes are real choices. Not always happy, but not always sad either. I found this story very endearing. It was a quick read, but worth much more than the price would indicate.

I LOVED this book. I can't believe it but I could relate to it so well. I think it was well written. Its actually a story that is believable and not far-fetched!

A great free book! Easy to read with realistic characters. Not a complicated plot but you'll feel like you're a "fly on the wall" wondering what Candice will do next. I felt the story ended abruptly though. I wanted a bit more.

I actually laughed out loud during this sweet and not-quite simple story. I have a feeling the author had to have experienced many of the events she writes about, as they are extremely accurate and believable and ellicited tons of compassion from me. I worried for Candice, laughed at (and with) her, hated and loved her friends, and waited eagerly to hear her resolution to a difficult decision. Great read!

I downloaded this book because it was free (full book) and partly because I love polar bears.
It started out decent enough, holding my interest...but then I felt like it just kept going on and on with the same dialogue and content from chapter to chapter.
It became old quick, so the last 100 pages I literally skimmed just to get through it.
The premise has potential...but desperately needed more development and intrigue.

I honestly read this book because it was a freebie, but once I got started I couldn't stop! Especially the last few "chapters" I just could not stop reading and when I was finally done I was so sad to see it end!! A great read!

This book is a great personal discovery story. I enjoyed following the main character through her trials and decisions. It was easy to celebrate with her when she discovered her own strength as a woman and person.

248 pages of 'Should I have an affair after two years of marriage or not?' If the author had left out all the 'filler', like gossiping with the girls, shopping, running out of toilet paper, sitting in the hottub, going to the gym, and other extraneous trivia, it would still be 50 pages of BORING. Gave me a serious case of narcolepsy. Will be deleting it immediately. Wasted my time.

I really liked this book, and for free you can't go wrong! Grammatically, there were quite a few errors and misspellings...which I don't understand because (hello-spellcheck). It was a perfect little weekend book - nothing too time consuming and a pleasant love story.

This is the first book I read from Heather Wardell, and I have since bought all of her books. I really enjoyed this book as a married 30-something. I was very happy with the way it ended, and I enjoyed the road the characters had to travel to arrive at that ending. A very good read!

I found this book to be very simple and not overcomplicated which I prefer over "deep" stories. It was an easy read, kept me interested and I really ended up enjoying it. I searched the author and found her other ebooks for .99 which is great.

It was a really nice book that had me guessing. The characters seemed real and they made real life decisions. She's a great writer. I'll get more of her books.
