What is often missing from the various lives of Jesus within my own faith tradition, can be found here. This book combines the sensibilities of a devotional with a tremendously creative application of verses that gets one thinking in deeper and more profound currents. You may be tempted to dismiss this book over doctrinal disagreements, but if you do you'll be missing one of the great approaches to the life and ministry of Jesus--an approach badly neglected in LDS circles.

This book is an absolute masterpiece. Not only is it a well-researched scholarly work, but it has poetic beauty as well. This is a tribute to Jesus, God Manifested in the Flesh, and the finished work of Calvary. A 'must read' for all.

This is a most excellent book about the life of Jesus. In plain English it explains why he did what he did. His efforts to make the disciples understand the true purpose of his first coming. The prevailing attitudes of the Jews at the time, his rejection as Messiah. His role as Saviour rather than liberator. It's a treasure trove of answers for those asking questions. I can't put it down. I will read it again with my bible at my side.

This book is a true honor and tribute to Jesus Christ. It also is an excellent study tool and helps clarify and enlighten any person seeking to learn more about Christ both spiritually as well as doctrinally. If you have already done yourself the favor of believing in Christ, do yourself another favor and read this book!

Overview
Widely proclaimed a classic work of Christian faith, Life of Christ has been hailed as the most eloquent of Fulton J. Sheen’s many books. The fruit of many years of reflection, prayer, and research, it is a dramatic and moving recounting of the birth, life, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Christ, and a passionate portrait of the God-Man, the teacher, the healer, and most of all the Savior, whose promise has sustained humanity for two millennia. With his customary insight and reverance, Sheen interprets the scripture and describes Christ, not only in historical perspective, but also in exciting and contemporary terms, seeing in Christ’s life both modern...
