Meet the Author

Ralph K. Andrist was a longtime editor in the American Heritage Book Division. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with a major in journalism. During World War II, he served as a lieutenant on the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier Tulagi. His books include Jackson, Young America, and The Polar Explorers.

Each chapter brought something new with guotes from the past including Mark Twain, excellent read.
