All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
The third studio album from Canadian arena rockers Three Days Grace treads familiar ground, presenting 12 slabs of the kind of reliable, accessible and serviceable hard rock that will always have an audience. 2006's One-X dealt heavily with vocalist Adam Gontier's personal demons, a theme that continues on Life Starts Now, albeit with a hint of sunlight. Amazing!!!

this album contains lyrics very deep about life as it is based on experiences of the band along the way. An incredible example of how to overcome the losses and not gave up the life.

I love their sound and I already have their other albums. This is fantastic and a great following album to One-X!

    Getting more mellow?

Three Days Grace is in no way a sub-par band. Their music has always appealed to me and people I know. However, I've gotten used to a hardcore sound that echoed angst and a wish for redemption. Life Starts Now seems to be a reply to those previous songs; the music is softer and more peaceful, if not wistful. Tracks like "Last To Know" and "World So Cold" are the main examples. This album is not for new fans expecting a hard rock sound like their previous albums, but is a good Christmas present for a soft rock fan who's a little adventurous.

It's amazing! I suggest it! Not as heavy as the others, but still great!

erm.... it was pretty awesome but...

WEll I absolutley loved One-x and was expecting amazing music on this cd too. NOt that it was bad in any way it was just... softer then their other cd's. Not that that's bad, but i totally loved the growl/screaming they had on some of their songs on one-x, but none of their songs on this cd has this. But nontheless, it was an amazing cd, and my favorite song on it was "Last to know" which was absolutley beautiful and amazing!!! =D

Must buy for fans of Three Days Grace

There wasn't a song on this album that I didn't like, it isn't as hard hitting as their other albums, but in a different way. If you knew the background story of their lead singer Adam, you would know why the title of this album is "Life Starts Now".

    Awesome

At first I didn't think I was going to really like this cd. Their other 2 are harder and more about negative, raw, hard emotins. That is what I was expecting. You still get that but the emotions aren't as negative but it's still really good. I love this band!!!!!!!!!! I would buy anything by them
