    I Also Recommend:

A Blueprint for a Happy Life

This is a truly wonderful book. Max shares his wisdom in a genuine, down to earth way that is accessible to everyone. In other words - you do not have to be a "yogi" to get it. I can tell that this will be a book that I refer back to again and again and again. Very simply, it is a recipe for a meaningful life. By sharing his own experience, you never feel as if you are being preached to - you realize that we are all connected, all feel the same emotions, all attempt to escape pain, and all (hopefully) come to the realization that the only way out is through. Max gives us beautifully, simple ways to get to the other side and, ultimately, most importantly, be of service to others. Highly recommended!

A practical guide to fill your life with love

Anyone looking to liberate themselves from anger, fear, depression, or their frenetic lifestyle will find practical advice here to fill their life with love.

Max's book has made me rethink my life and my decisions - not in a radical way, but in a loving, methodical way. I have heard Max's lectures before, but to see his message in black and white is life-changing.

It reminded me that we are on this Earth just for a short time and each and every one of us has the power to tap into the great love, kindness and contentment in our hearts, and then to extend that love and compassion to our families, and even further into the world by example. In fact, it is our personal responsibility to do so. He explains how yoga and breath work are not just physical practices but spiritual tools/practices that can and will transform your life.

I like the way he embraces all religions, showing in his compassionate way that it's okay to have many paths to one destination. And he brings to light the issues of our time, showing that there is a way out (by going inward) for those "living a life of quiet desperation."

He offers up simple steps you can take today to "check yourself" and your own personal ethics in an objective, non-dogmatic way. His stories are funny and metaphors right on. He says we are a car with mud all over the windows.. The yoga and breath work help us to clean the windows so that we can see the world for the first time. then the meditation is the machinery inside the car that gives us the tools we need to drive.

Max has established himself as a master spiritual guide and his kind, humorous, tough-love way of guiding his students shines through in A Life Worth Breathing.

    Highly Recommended!

This is the first book I read about practicing yoga. It is a gentle overview of life. Max Strom gives hope that change is possible for the better--for all.
