Overview

Years ago, Millman had the good fortune to be tutored by a number of mentors as mysterious and wise as his best-known teacher he called Socrates. One of those masters revealed to him (and a few other close discliples) a previously secret (and more accurate) method of numerological insight that bordered on psychic abilities, and in fact opened doorways to profound insight into the core issues at the heart of one's own life and the lives of others.

Millman worked with this system for a decade, providing "spiritual law alignment" readings for countless people, before teaching this system to a relatively small group of people — and finally, the time came to write The Life You Were Born to Live. In this book he presents the method and revelations of The Life Purpose system, a modern method based on ancient wisdom that has helped hundreds of thousands to find new meaning, purpose and direction.

The Life You Were Born to Live describes: • the thirty-seven paths of life • a precise method to determine your own life path and the paths of others • the core issues, innate talents and special needs related to each path, including areas of health, money and sexuality • guidelines for approaching a career consistent with your innate drives and abilities • the hidden purpose behind your own primary relationships • how to live in harmony with the cycles of you life • the key spiritual laws to help you understand your past, clarify your present, and empower your future.

For the longest time I had sensed only the surface of the powerful answers within me. Then one day, at a local bookstore, I was guided to this book, incredibly by another author! That author was signing copies of her second book, Esamuel, and I asked her when she thought her third might be available, so taken was I with the depth of feeling and understanding in her first two. Because her third was not available yet, she recommended this book to me to read in the meantime. As with Tunnermann's books, this one has changed so much for me! I see the world so differently, and react from a place within me that had previously lay hidden, trapped. I believe that coincidences are far more than they appear to be, and I offer my coming to this book as an example. Some authors would never consider recommending another's work, but Ms. Tunnermann did, and I am thankful for her truthfulness, as well as her own excellent work!

As a life-long seeker of TRUTH and Self-Realization, I have read many books on esoteric knowledge that have taken me into the depths of my Mind. They were 'great escapes' at best, for few left a lasting impression of practicality. Mr. Millman's offering, here, was such an eye-opener for its simple truth and logical sense. It has helped explained many unanswered questions about myself and described me in far more detail than anything astrological. He makes the connection between the power of numbers and the universal laws that control them. A very down-to-earth compilation of wisdom! It has inspired me to contemplate even deeper paths along my search, which have given me my greatest INSIGHTS to my heart's desires. Thank you Dan!

I first heard about this book from a podcast by Kelly Howell. I bought it because it seems to take on a different approach from the traditional numerology. So far, it has been helpful in identifying problem areas in my own life. I've also asked other people to read it and see how well it can describe them, and it gives them the chills. hahaha! This is a must-have book.

This is a book that I have had for several years and have gone back to re-read from time to time. It is a much more accurate picture of the real 'me' than other numerology books that I have read because this one does not simply reduce one's life path number down to a single digit, but instead use a double digit which reflects one's true character better. Also, the sections on how to work your numbers in the positive are very helpful.

After researching many books on numerology, I decided to try this one first. I have had years of theraphy and have seen a few psychics. I learned as much about myself from this book as from all the other. It was spot on for me. Somethings I would rather not admit about myself were there in black and white. No denying any of the shadow aspects of my personality, and all from the day of my birth! There are helpful suggestions on how to overcome and get past the road blocks and live your intended purpose. You can learn about your loved ones too. Be careful though, because you must be really honest with yourself when reading the information. You can get insight into your loved ones personality and traits, but you can never really know another person. I found this very helpful from the stand point of my life purpose and the positive as well as negative lessons from my marriage and other relationships. I keep my book handy and reach for it often. lol, I have gotten to the point I can guess with pretty good accuracy what number a person has before doing the math. Fun and informative!!!

I'm now on my 4th copy of this book. I keep lending mine out because I love it so much. Finally bought a copy for my Nook. Really helps give you a better perspective of yourself and the ones you love.

I am a huge fan of this book and of the author - Dan Millman. I am not a big fan of the self help genre and usually tend to try and plow through life's problems on my own. But, recently I was having some difficulty and this book and Mr. Millman's philosophy is helping me work through it. I am a 22/4. And this book and Mr. Millman's methods had me stone cold. I have several other titles by Mr. Millman and enjoy all of them.
