This is the third book in the Show Me Series and while it's not necessary to read the first two books prior to reading Life's Turned Upside Down, I would recommend it as there are characters introduced in those books that appear in the third book. The author does reintroduce all the characters when they first make an appearance, but that does slow the beginning of this book down. The Alvarez family is the kind of family that everyone wishes they had as they were growing up. Mom and dad seem to be wonderful parents and they raised wonderful kids. The men are strong, kind and caring and Gabriella is strong, determined and a spitfire. However, they are not perfect. Each one has their problems and the people that each chooses also seem to have their problems, but together they manage to work it out. There is a bit of mystery and suspense in each one of the books and this book centered around Gabriella and Dr. Ashton Holder, a doctor in the practice that her father and brothers own. They got off to a rocky start and she doesn't let him forget it either, hence spitfire. They both have pasts and those pasts keep them both wary of getting involved with each other. This sweet romance had enough mystery/suspense to keep me reading and the author developed the characters so that I stayed engaged with them throughout the book. I enjoyed the book as I did the first two books in the series. I received an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Gabriella Alvarez is the only daughter with two brothers. Her brothers have both found the love of their lives. Even though she is looking for love, it is hard to get past her college sweethart that broke her heart. Dr. Ashton Holder works in the Alvarez practice with her brother. He had a falling out with her brother and his son that Gabriella cannot get past. She is a teacher and she really loves her job. She tries to avoid Dr. Holder but is thrown together with him in a project for the school. I liked the closeness of the family and how everyone interacted. The characters were all interesting and you just ended up cheering for Gabriella and Ashton. I found the book a fun read and easy to read in a couple of days.

This was my first read by Anne Stone and as I read I became more & more involved in the storyline, until I got to the end. Then I wanted there to be even more. This book follows the relationship between Gabriella & Ashton. When the book first starts out Gabriella wants nothing to do with Ashton; she is angry at him for how he treated her brother & even though everyone else in the family has accepted his apology and forgiven him - she just can't bring herself to let it go. When she finally does decide to give a clean slate & start their friendship over, she discovers that Ashton really is a good guy. They both have hurts in their past that make them hesitant to move forward past anything more than friends, but together they will try to overcome all the hurt and move forward. I was so excited to read this book because it is very different than the usual romance books I read. This would definitely fall under the sweet romance category - it is a clean book, without all the dirty scenes and foul language, and it is all the better for it; do not mistake that for meaning it is a boring book. This book has love, deceit, secrets, drama and so much more. I enjoyed every page! Anne Stone's writing is so good; she creates a whole world for the reader to fall into while they enjoy her book. The journey she took us on was fun and inviting - I want to go read book one & two of the series now because I just fell in love with the Alvarez family. The characters in the book were all relatable to someone and you just couldn't help but hope that everything worked out for Gabriella & Ashton. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you haven't read this author yet - I think you're missing out! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Anne Stone's Life's Turned Upside Down Gabriella Alvarez teaches school. She is the youngest in her large, close family. She has a fear to love again. Gabriella needs to overcome her past to learn be able to love again. Dr. Ashton Holder has just joined the Alvarez family medical practice. He had a very bad bedside manner but has learn overcome this as is progressing along fine. Ashton is a only child. He needs to let go of his old demons who haunt him to find love. Both need to overcome the haunting of the past to be able to do anything about the the undeniable chemistry between them. This story has well developed, realistic and well defined characters. The storyline has drama, mystery, secrets, deceit, betrayal, forgiveness and love all wrapped up to produce a very interesting and enjoyable read. I volunteered to read Life's Turned Upside Down. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

I total enjoyed this book that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of. Life’s Turned Upside Down is the third book in Anne Stone’s Show Me series. I found these books to be a loving family story about two people that needed to learn to find Love again. As I have not read the first two books in this series I found the first chapter a be too busy and hard to grab the back story of, but after I reread this chapter I pushed on. So glad that I did as I total enjoyed the plot and character is this story. This book is full of twist and turns that will keep you turning the page, to fully understand these character I think reading the other books first would have been more useful. Gabriella Alvarez is the youngest of the Alverez family she is a school teacher, her family’s business is a doctor’s practice were her nemeses Dr. Ashton Holder works. Ashton has had a bit of history of having a bad bedside manner that affected an Alverez family member; most of the family have forgiven him, but no Gabriella. Gabriella and Ashton have a lot of animosity between you could say they are not friends at all but are forced together against their better judgment by others, where they learn they must get along for the benefit of helping others. Ashton does not have great childhood memories wish have affected his present self, but Gabby has turned his world upside-down. Gabriella has a great family life and loving parents but has been hurt badly by an ex-boyfriend and she doesn’t believe she will love or trust again. Ashton has never loved anyone and is afraid to. Can they both overcome their own issues to find Love, hope, and memories in each other?

Ashton is finally starting to fit in with the family after his rocky start when Max was sick. Well fitting in with everyone except Gabriella. But that isn't the only problem. These two do a slow cha cha around each other a few steps forward a few back in and out I almost got dizzy. It is an emotional story that draws more from this author than I have seen in the other books of this series. It is a clean read that pulls at your heartstrings. The story of these two is one you will not want to miss.

This story is the third book of Ms Stone’s Show Me series , based on the Alvarez siblings. Each story has been touching . I was a little concerned about this one since the main characters, Gabriella Alvarez, and Dr Ashton Holder act like immature kids and not adults. Once you get past their behavior and get into the storyline, you end up giving them a break and understanding that their actions are a result of past hurts and experiences in their lives. Taking the step into opening their hearts and discovering love, is huge for them, but once they travel that very rocky and uneven road, their is light on the other side of the tunnel. Another homerun for this talented author. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Ashton is a by the book personality. He follows the rules without listening to what he feels. Gabriella listens to her heart. But refuses to follow it's directions. Less chance of getting hurt. From the first, there is always an undercurrent of attraction between Gabriella and Ashton but a hint of fear tinges the sparks. Fate has other plans. Life's Turned Upside Down is my first Anne Stone novel, but it will not be my last. She has no qualms about putting her heart in her writing. Gabriella and Ashton were no cake walk with their hidden secrets and surface aloofness, but their drama got a reaction. As I reader, I was captivated, emotionally invested and loving every moment. That's what makes a good story.
