I almost always read the reviews that are written about a book before I choose to purchase it, but it is rare that I ever feel the need to write a review, myself. So far, I have read three books by Alexis Harrington, and I have yet to be disappointed. As a librarian, I am often asked to recommend authors and books to my patrons. This author has, without a doubt, become my favorite. A Light For My Love is one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read. Unlike many romance writers, Alexis Harrington doesn't simply give a brief story about the couple only to spend most of the book discussing their physical relationship. She sets up such a love story between the couple that it becomes an emotional journey for the reader, a journey that will literally make your heart flutter with anticipation for the moment when they finally profess their love for each other. A Light For My Love is a wonderful example of Alexis Harrington's ability to tap into all of the the emotions one feels when they realize that the person they have dispised since childhood has now become the one their heart longs for, and can no longer live without.

I absolutely loved this book! It is my favorite book. It is a timeless romance. What I really like about it is that it doesn't center around sex, but rather around love. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. Your library won't be complete without it!
