    LOVED IT!!!!!!

The only problem I have with this book is that I reached the last page, and have to wait for the second book.

    Incredible

Just finished the first 8 books. And the only bad part is having to wait for the next one. The story is amazing. There were times when I thought he was using the same lines in the books a few too many times, like when the characters were falling asleep or there was fighting, but I think he may have caught on to because he started to change it up and the books got that much better. I highly recommend this whole series, and will introduce it to a few people I know who would love it as much as I did.

    Loved it!

When will the next book be out? I read this one in a day and a few hour, with work in between.

Highly recommended, but read the Morcyth Saga series first! Excellent!

This is not the type of story that usually appeals to me, but the first book in The Morcyth Saga series was a free e-book, so I read it. I was hooked right away. I read all seven books in the series and went straight to "Light in the Barren Lands". Every book in The Morcyth Saga series was completely absorbing and entertaining, and "Light in the Barren Lands" was equally as good. I can't wait for the second book in the series to come out.

Magic is definitely NOT something that I would read (even though I like movies) but after getting low on my free friday selections I grudging selected this freebie to read, and now I'm hooked! I laughed a lot, cried a little, but got through the Morcyth series and Travails in less than 3 weeks. The stories flowed naturally, meaning I was happy that the buildup to a situation was not dragged out. I appreciate that James tried to maintain his moral compass. Since I was reading purely for the enjoyment of it, I have no complaints or criticisms--other than the length of time its taking for the series to be completed. It would be a pleasant surprise if after awaiting so long for the 2nd book of this series, that the entire series would be available.

    These Books are AWESOME!!

The Morcyth Saga was incredible. I read all 7 books within 2 weeks. Now I have started on the Dark Mage Series and all I can say is 'Great work, Brian'! These books are amazing. Brian has you hooked from the very first book all the way to the one I have just completed. Please hurry and publish the second book of The Dark Mage!! I'm chomping at the bits here! I ready to start reading them all over again. Light of the Barren Lands will have you on the edge of your seat! My heart was racing at the end of this book with the anticipation of what was going to happen, and now can't wait to get a hold of the rest of this series.

    Must read!

If you are a fan of the Morcyth Saga Series by Brian S. Pratt, then I think you'll enjoy this sequel. I thought it was a nice twist on the saga since it takes their journeys to earth for a change. I can't wait for Book #2 to come out. I understand from the writer's website that the 2nd book is about 80%-ish finished. This is a book that I'd definitely recommend to any Brian S. Pratt fan.

Loved it need the other books

As a person who dislikes magic. I am a huge fan of his writing. Not only do you get a since of personal laugh out loud with some characters like Miko's whining or his love for tarts. But the others and their personalities as well. It is a nook all levels of ages can read no sex and very little cursing (hell, maybe a damn ), but what is heard on tv today it is nothing in comparison. All I can say is please keep up the great adventures with James Miko Jerin and the pit fighters. Just love these colleections.

After reading the first book, I started buying them in sets.. at LEAST two at a time. These are fast paced, well written stories that flow very well. When I read, I like to read for entertainment - I REALLY got entertainment with the previous series. This next series should be great. Well done, Brian Pratt - well done!
Bring on the second series - your fans are clamoring!

    Next book?

Overall a great series! This sequel to the series was a suprise and built in to the story nicely. Every chapter there is action making you want to keep reading. I wish that it talked about what was happening back on the other world with the other characters and not so focused on Earth. It was very confusing that they assumed there families were all right but didnt know what happened to them when they were being attacked. But that is for another story and we will have to wait and find out what happens. Im curious when the next book will be out when it has been over a year. Hopefully soon we are all waiting!

    Patience is a Virtue

Pratt released the entire Morcryth Saga on the same day therefore I'm assuming he will do the same for the remaining books in this follow-up series. Just be patient. That being said, these books are a fun and humorus read for all ages.
