Overview

Song of Dragons -- the bestselling fantasy series beginning with Blood of Requiem -- continues with a new tale of blood, steel, and dragonfire.

BOOK THREE: LIGHT OF REQUIEM

War has ravaged the world. Cities lie crumbled. Forests smolder. The crows feast.

In the ruins, Requiem's last dragons lick their wounds and mourn a death among them. But they will not have long to grieve. From the ashes, a new enemy arises, one more horrible than any before.

His soldiers dead, the tyrant Dies Irae collects severed limbs, heads, and torsos. He sews them into rotting, maggoty mimics of life. With dark magic, he animates his creations... and sends them hunting.

The mimics live to kill. They do not sleep. They feel no pain. They never stop hunting. Worst of all, they undo all magic around them. When mimics are near, Requiem's survivors cannot become dragons... and must fight as humans.

Without their greatest gift, how can Requiem's children survive?

    And there ya have it

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. It was imaginative and engaging enough to keep you turning pages. The last book however was a bit of a let down. It seemed like the author just wanted to end the series and decided to end it quickly.

Yes, I'm invested enough to visit Requiem again and have already bought the first book of the next series.

Unlike what the othr person said about the ages they are all correct. The girl was kidnapped two years BEFORE the boy was in the field. Other than that its a great series. Go read them all

I like the over all story but.....

Small spoil alert- Well the ages of some of the people are off, like one boy is 6 years old at the same point in time two girls are 3 years old but in the curent time the boy is two years younger than the girls???? Huh....ok. Thier were some other things as well but this bugged me the most because the ages is in all three of the books. I like the books but something like that is a big blunder.

You have to read this trilogy

This is an excellent story. Great characters and really scary bad guys. I could have done with less description of the mimics. That kind of made me queasy at times.

    Breathe taking action

This but one of nine books all in trilogy form. I am a fan of the author and he has assured me there are more books coming out soon. If you have a nook you can go from one trilogy to the next without having to go purchase them from the store.

My nook is like manna from heaven for a reader like me.
