Overview

From Sharon and Tom Curtis, one of the most celebrated writing duos in romance, comes a sizzling story of unexpected attraction—as sparks fly between a shy librarian and a sexy dancer.

Philip Brooks is a man with a passion for biology, wildlife, and restoring his old family home—all of which add up to a pile of bills that require attention. Moonlighting as the Cougar Club’s hottest dancer is a job, nothing more, nothing less—until lovely Jennifer Hamilton nearly faints during one of his shows. Her sweet innocence tugs at his heart and makes him painfully aware of his longing for the kind of love a woman as perfect and real as Jennifer can offer.

Watching her most secret fantasy come to life on the dance floor is almost more than Jennifer can bear. Now, the sexiest man she’s ever met is near enough to hold. For a shy, bookish lady with little experience in the romance department, life feels as if it’s spinning out of control—and not in the direction, or with the kind of man, she ever imagined. Can she believe in the passion Philip ignites and take a chance on a dance that could last a lifetime?

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from these Loveswept titles: Remember the Time, The Vow, This Fierce Splendor, The Baron, Tall, Dark, and Lonesome, Dream Lover, and Legends.

    REALLY BAD!!!

I'm sorry, but this book is awful. Cliche start to finish and really bad writing. Took me forever to read, but was determined to finish since I paid for it. Wish I could get my money and those moments of my like back!

    Return of an old favorite

One of the original loveswepts, this fun and romantic story sold me on this wonderful husband and wife writing team who also wrote the incomparable "Sunshine and Shadow". Love to see these reissued- highly recommend.

    Highly Memorable love story!

Wow! I'm so glad to see this offered on NOOK. I read this years ago when it came out as a Bantam Loveswept. Sharon & Tom Curtis only wrote a few books, but every one of them was memorable. This one with the hero so hot, hot, HOT, but brainy, caring, and actually kind of shy although he uses his gorgeous bod as the asset it is by dancing at the Cougar Club to make money for his cause. And the heroine is so befuddled and bewildered that a guy who looks like this could fall for her...oh, it's all so sweet and beautiful and definitely one for the keeper shelf...as a matter of fact, I need to go dig it out and read it again!

Shy Librarian meets Male Strip Club Headliner

Lightening That Lingers by Sharon & Tom Curtis eISBN- 978-0-307-798824

A shy insecure librarian named Jennifer Hamilton ends up at the Cougar Club with her co-workers. A male strip club and she's the girl who escaped anything in school that involved sex or the body. She does notice the sound man though. A handsome man who's blue eyes connect with her a man who is the third dancer of the night and the star of the show.

Philip Brooks had a mansion and land, he was a Biologist and he had an owl and chicken for pets. To pay for everything he was a male stripper. He notices the brown eyed girl looking at him differently than any woman ever had. Not with the lust in her eyes but once he started dancing he seen her distaste.

Philip meets Jennifer again while she is doing a library fundraiser and they do get to know each other. He shows her the nature on his land and his pets. And as love grows between them he wonders how long before his job separates them.

There are some mild sexual situations in this book.

    Good

I enjoyed this 138 page book, tho it did get a little heavy with old odd words at times. Loved the hero and his love of nature and all creatures, Jenny was lovable too. GJRA

This is probably the worst book I have ever read - took me forever because I just didn't want to go back to it but I make it a point to finish a book incase it gets better. The story itself was around 170 pages and the rest were inserts of a bunch of other books., I never read them because I don't want to know about a book until I buy it. Also, had I known the story was only 170 pages it would have made me read it faster to get it over with.

    Loved it

This romance story was so sweet in how it gradually unfolded and the two main characters fell in love. This story has stayed with me in the days since I finished it.
