I consider myself at an intermediate level of Spanish language proficiency. On top of that, I'm pretty rusty because it's been several years since I've set foot in a Spanish class. But I have to say that this movie was interesting, intriguing, and the vocabulary was perfect for someone on my level. The actors didn't speak to fast or too slow. The movie didn't insult my intelligence. And it provided a great exercise in listening and comprehending conversational Spanish-- which is what we all need to transition from reading books to using our Spanish in the 'real world.' Even though I was largely familiar with the vocabulary, I still learned a lot from both the book and the movie, and I will happily watch it again and again. Indeed, sitting on my couch and watching this movie was the best 'Spanish Class' I've ever had, LOL! I can't wait till they produce more of these.
